He was kind man, unlike everybody else but especially Balor himself. Eventually, I became one of the Ruler's Counselors. These people help the king with his decisions. I was the human of course, and since then I became hated even more.

I thought once about how we once viewed gods. To us, they were beings that forged this very world. They were beings like Guthix, Zamorak, and Saradomin. But now...I think nobody ever even considered the possibility that humans would fall from superiority to inferiority. We are now lower to them, enslaved by them.

As the folly of the rebellious human continued, the turmoil does as well. But...I have reason to believe our struggle to get back what was stolen from us has scarcely begun. My name is Raphael Béla, human and member of the Ruler's Counsel and I now watch while they fall. The gods that once fought carelessly enjoy their lives while the weaker humans fight for them.

I don't know why, but...I feel that something isn't right...
----

Should you decide to make one, you may choose to side with either the Kingdom (you can be a god or human) or be with the Rebels (which are only made up of humans). Should you decide to be a god, you can do almost anything you'd like with them. Stretchy limbs? Sure. Just do so without going too overboard (no overpowered doods like "I need to serious nerf" kind of people)

You know your format so go ahead and post it up whenever you feel like it. Thanks again you guys. ^_^

Chapter 28: Hoffnungslos

Out from the jaws of the conflict, the group from Avdima head back into the arms of their home to confront the affliction. Uncertainty and apprehension blew down their bodies like an avalanche, it took all their thoughts. They steadily marched together to Avdima, they watched as sparks of flames danced upon the streets and building they were familiar with.

Their march was fast and steady, they all looked ready for anything. The smell of dew rushed through the area and brought a peaceful smell despite the dire situation. The closer they got however, the less the serene scent existed. The smell was replaced with the flames of hell reaching it's hands out to the world.

The many kingdoms of burning heat sent off soldiers of the deepest black up towards the heavenly sea of endless blue. The group stood up upon the hill that reigned as king in the middle of the long plain of grass that stood between the two cities. Their glances focused upon the city of Avdima.

Some looked on in horror, others seemed infuriated. Allister looked to his burning city with calm, relaxed eyes. His facial expression gritted no anger or hatred, he looked more ready and prepared. The flames unleashed upon the city reflected off of the young prince's eyes. "Is everyone prepared?" he asked once again, looking back at his comrades.

(I'll edit everything later)

His eyes then watched one by one as his comrades shook their heads, assuring the prince that they are indeed ready for what lies behind the gates into Avdima. Allister whips his head back to his city, his feet become unglued to the emerald green grass. His legs moved steadily to the tall gates, to the jaws of a mad beast.

Several years has passed since the last event and the once embracing summer had turned into a terrible winter. The beautiful green grass was frozen over by relentless piles of snow and ice. The day had lost the battle to the grips of night and the darkness surrounded the land. A blizzard darted billions of snowflake in it's sweeping gale.

Not a single life existed outside, not even an animal. Everyone remained sheltered in the warmth and security of their wooden cabins, facing the warmth of fire. Zion was now twenty but he looked no different from when he was seventeen. His face was still covered by the same ruby red hood, his body still shelled under the same white armour.

He sat in the middle of his bed in his room, his right leg bent up like a boomerang while his right arm rested on his knee. His left leg bent around his right leg while his left arm rested limp upon the cotton bed's surface. His head looked out towards the window, watching the gelid snow utterly dominate the landscape.

Modello sat beside Zion's bed, his eyes looking onto the flames underneath the chimney. He watched the fire breathe deeply, in and out. And he noticed that Zion looked like he was in another world. Modello turned the ruby red cloak, maybe a tad concern. "What goes on?" he questioned, curious.

Zion's eyes didn't let go of the glass' surface, he kept staring through it and into the frigid land outside the giant kingdom of stone. Upon his reflection, Zion's eyes were down as if he were lamenting a death. "It will soon come to an end," he mumbled back to Modello. "Zin has succeeded..."

Modello's face flares into an intense look, uncertainty and perhaps fearful for his comrade's safety. "What?!" he yelled, his face jerked over to the ruby red cloak.

Zion drew in breath into his bellows, releasing it back into the atmosphere with disappointment. "As it appears, the Tablet did not work in bringing us back," he answered, his voice anchored down by grief. "Without us, Zin can reek his havoc uncontested."

Modello's face stared blank at the floor, his emerald green irises seemed flooded by worry. His hands clenched into fists of anger, his mind caught in a tide of fury. "No..." he growled, launching his upper body up into the air. His legs held him up like two sticks in a marshmallow. His head swings back over to Zion. "I can't let this happen!"

Zion stared up at Modello, gazing into his descendant's eyes. He seemed surprised, almost shocked to hear those things coming from Modello. However, the young hooded man shook his head. "As much as I wish there was..." he replied, his head turning back out into the glass that looked at the outside. "There's nothing you or I can do, Modello,"

Modello glared at Zion, his face raged with tension. "Do something!!" he yelled with fury. "You ARE the single most powerful being this world has seen since Guthix! You of all people have the ability to change this!"

Zion's eyes closed, his face truly marked by melancholy. "I'm sorry," he apologized, his voice slowly disappearing. "There is nothing we can do."

"You said it was MY destiny to stop him," Modello stated, his voice began to steadily return to a calm and relaxed level. "Make it so I actually can achieve it!"

Zion turned his head to his left. The air surrounding the two was stuck by uneasiness but it slowly became calm once again. Zion drew in some of the détente air into his lungs, blowing it out from him once again. "Fine," he spoke. "I'll try to figure something out."

Modello's standing body fell from the top back down to the bottom, to the cold floor. His back leaning back against the gray stone wall, it was very cold to the touch. The fire that secured the fireplace didn't seem like it wanted to share it's wealth of warmth. Modello sat with his right leg arching up like an upside down V while his left leg was as straight as a wooden plank.

His arms were crossed like a knot, his eyes watched the flames dance with it's embers. Zion continued to stare outside, out to the white blanket darkness that consumed everything like a terrible wildfire. He watched the city of Lucio be covered by snow, the city's radiant cloak of light stolen by the cover of night.

The group from Avdima finally entered the city of loss, their own home. But the streets that were once full of both laughter and joy turned to blood red plains of death. Bodies of residents - rich and poor - covered the path. Raging infernos swallowed all in it's way, emitting thousands of miles of smoke into the once clear skies.

The buildings that represented it's owners now all lay in ruins, destroyed as if a nuclear bomb blew across the entire city. Shreds of dinner tables and chairs laid in the middle of streets, even shattered glasses and dinner plates. Nothing was left of these cities, not a single trace of humanity existed.

A swift gale blew down the street the group stood upon. Everyone pulled all their weight down on the ground to keep themselves from falling or even getting grabbed by the hands of the wind. The rancid smell of death and flames embraced the air while an overwhelming heat controlled the atmosphere. The smell of fire was almost so strong that you could taste it.

The group steadily made their way down towards the familiar kingdom that they once reported to every single day of their lives. Everyone looked everywhere to see if they can find a single inch of life. But much to their grief, there was nothing. Moriah's eyes go down like a sun falling down into the horizon. "This is horrible," she sadly mumbled. "Why would anyone want to cause this kind of destruction...?"

Drake looked up at the sky, watching the clouds of thick blackness make it's ascent up to the black cloaked sky. "This is just downright genocide..." he spoke, his voice full of indignation. "No one should be allowed to live after committing something like this."

Allister froze in his footsteps, pausing in his haste. Everybody else continued walking, not realizing that the prince stopped. Just under a few seconds, everybody passed the prince but they all looked back. They were puzzled by why Allister would just suddenly stop. His indigo-purple irises looked at his comrades. "I need to make sure my people are alright..." he stated. "I need to make sure if anybody is...still alive."

The group acknowledged that the prince probably wouldn't take no for an answer. They all realized that he looked desperate to know. They all shook their heads, corresponding with the prince. Allister shook his head along with his comrades. "I'll be as quick as I possibly can," he stated. "I swear."

Moriah let out a light smile out to the prince. "Just be careful," she replied. "We definitely don't want to see anyone else get hurt."

Allister turned his back on the group, his head still staring back at them. "Thank you all," he thanked, his voice expressing his appreciation. "May Saradomin protect you all." Afterwards, Allister rushed off to find out if anybody was still alive. After seeing him off, the group returned to making their way to the kingdom.

Their steps echoed, tapping the unkempt stone pathway which lead into the heart of the rich district. One by one, their hearts began to pound faster. Their bodies began to shake with apprehension. The fires that engulfed the many houses grew stronger and stronger. Their heat became so great that it was if the radiant star fell down upon the earth.

The long stone pathway looked like a burning cave, it's walls were houses set ablaze. The breathing flames were reflected on the hopelessness in their eyes. They continued to proceed, almost to the heart of the rich district. This is where the golden gates into the kingdom of Avdima and the rich district meet.

The haunting echoes of the past came through the group's heads, the place once caught in the desperate struggle of those poor to gain something from those rich. It was even a place where children and their parents to love and play together. But no more. Finally, the group reached to the center of the city where some building stood tall and wealthy.

The group shook their heads, looking left and right for any sign of the one they came all this way to face. Drake stood in the center of the long stone circle that stood as the frontier between the kingdom and the rich district. The stone circle was about the length of one football field and it was as wide as one and a half football fields. Out in this open area, everywhere they looked, they always saw thousands of heatwaves.

Drake stared off into the distance, his black as night irises glaring heavily onto the kingdom. He seemed paused in time, not making a sound. He didn't even make a sound from breathing. Moriah stared at the familiar black cloak that had saved her life many times. But something seemed to bother her, like a confession hid behind her lips.

Adrian shuffled his eyes left and right. "Where is he, you think?" the young Saradominist wondered.

Lite raised his left eyebrow. "Beats me." he replied to Adrian.

Moriah's eyes stared with focus at Drake, her pale blue eyes without a doubt. Her face looked like it could break within a moment, as if the floodgates of her emotions was about to break. "He's here," she stated, her voice soft. "You've always been right here, haven't you Zin?"

Varon looked at the young magic user, turning his head to the location where she placed her eyes. His hands reach to his Crystal Shortsword, pulling it out from it's encasement. Everyone parrots Varon, following her vision and where she looked at. It all looked at the black cloak worn on Drake.

The black cloak everybody focused on helplessly waltzed with the light gale that blew across the group. Drake's hand were loose, the upper half of his face covered under the black cloth of his hood. His face looked stolid, without a single thought or emotion. "So, Richard told you?" he softly asked.

Moriah walks a step forward, her footstep hesitant. "He did," she answered. "Just how long did you plan to play out this fantasy?"

He looked up at the kingdom, his black irises suddenly change. They began to emit a red light, sending fear down the spines of any person. "I didn't intend it to last for very long," he said, his voice slowly turned from his voice as Drake at the beginning of his sentence to his deathly, demonic voice at the end of it. "But it was a most intriguing adventure while it lasted."

Everybody from the city of loss suddenly pulled out their weapons. They were all ready to engage in their fight against Zin. Moriah sighed, letting out her grief. Her left hand latched onto the pouch strapped on her waist. Zin slowly turned around to face the group face to face. As soon as his face met with their faces, he froze.

The face that once belong to Zin's masquerade known as Drake Raven started to melt off of his true face like ice put at the tip of the sun. Zin's true face stared at the group, a strong jawline and a face that looked exactly like Modello's. His eyes glowed red, a unmistakable feature on the once shadow of death.

Moriah stared at Zin, her face marked by tension and apprehension. Everybody had the exactly same look on their faces. He still wore all the same clothes he did when he was Drake but his face was completely different. His hair was blonde, much like Modello's.

His eyes scrolled to each of those before him until his eyes finally reached Moriah. "It's unfortunate that it has to come to this, dear Moriah," he said, his once loose hands clench tightly. "But I will destroy all races responsible for what they have done."

Varon tightly grips his blade, shaking his sword tightly. "I'm done hearing you talk!" he stated, charging towards Zin. Varon raises his Crystal Shortsword up into the air, swinging it down on the left side of Zin's chest. Without even moving or guarding, Zin watched as the elf make his attack. Varon's blade hammers down on Zin's body, but his blade just bounces right off Zin's body like a ball right off the ground.

Varon and everybody else just stare in shock, all their hope just suddenly disappeared. Zin thrusts his right fist suddenly speeds towards Varon's abdomen. His fist pounds into Varon's abdomen, sending a shockwave of terrifying pain all throughout the elf's body. His eyes widened from the extreme amount of pain that he was in, he dropped to his knees and hugged both of his arms around his abdomen.
