Drake looked at Moriah. "Nothing," he answered, his voice sounded as if it were in an extreme drought. "I just...wanted to rest for a bit."

Moriah stood in front of Drake, her face marked by concern. "Are you okay?" she questioned, worried.

Drake shook his head. "Yeah," he once again answered, willfully dropping down to his knees. "I'm just not feeling all that great..."

Moriah dropped down to the same level as Drake. She dropped down to her knees. "Maybe you've exhausted yourself," she tried suggesting the cause of Drake's affliction. "Is there anything I can do?"

Drake sighed in frustration. "Stop worrying for one," he said. "And go over to Zion's body and revive him."

Moriah shook her head. "I just really need to know you're okay." she said.

"I told you to stop worrying, you dork," he replied. "I'll be fine, honestly."

Moriah stood to her feet, looking down at the familiar black cloaked young man. "If you say so," she said. She turned to her attention back onto the body of Zion. She ran back over to Adrian, who stopped at the same place Moriah and him were at.

The young magic user returned to her place right beside the young Saradominist. Moriah turned her head from the statue on the right and then to the one on the left. "So, these statue are ACTUALLY guarding his body?" she curiously asked.

"Indeed," he answered. "But I think they will stand down considering you have the Tablet in your hands."

Moriah let out a questionable sigh, she began thinking to herself. Her mind surrounded by thoughts about the one thing Richard said before his life disappeared. "What did he mean?" she questioned herself.

Adrian turned his head over to Moriah, he was able to tell that Moriah was trying to find some kind of comprehension. But then one small thought in her mind suddenly expanded. Her eyes widened and her jaw hung slightly open. A light blub lit up in her head.

Adrian smiled lightly. "I'm glad you've come to whatever conclusion you were looking for." he said.

But just after Adrian spoke, a mask of grief clenched the young magic user's face. "Yeah...it's just great..." she dreadfully spoke, her voice quiet.

The young Saradominist realized that the conclusion she came up with wasn't all that great. He sighed lightly, turning to her. "Forgive me for asking but," he spoke. "Your reaction is about your friend, isn't it?"

Her eyes turn into a glare, staring directly on the young Saradominist's face. "Why would you need to know that?" she quickly growled, her voice spewing her dislike.

Adrian's head turns back onto the altar they're closing in on. "There's no need to get defensive," he declared, his voice very calm despite Moriah's sudden anger. "If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to help."

Moriah smirked. "Hah," she laughed, finding amusement in Adrian's comment. "You're kidding, right?"

"No." he solemnly stated, his answer as fierce as a gunshot off in the middle of the night.

Moriah took his answer quite seriously. Her head turned to her right, away from the young Saradominist. "Well, no thanks," she replied to him. "I don't take assistance from murderers."

Adrian's eyes go down, his mind lost in silence. "I know you may not find it in your heart to forgive me," he said, taking the young magic user's attention. "But I truly never wanted those people to die. But there are others within me as well as people outside of me that want me to kill. I even killed Alina...and I didn't ever desire to harm her. Even if I realized that she was harming innocent people, I never would want to hurt her."

Moriah thought with intensity about what the young Saradominst was trying to sell to her. "So, what are you trying to say?" she questioned.

"Lord Tamir forced me against my will to kill all those people." he calmly answered.

Moriah looked at the color of Adrian's eyes. She noticed that they're an emerald green color, much like Modello's eyes. She recalls many different times where Adrian's eyes were different colored, like a crimson red. "So, that's why your eye color would always change." she thought, mumbling out into the world.

Adrian once again shook his head. "Yes," he spoke, sighing as he spoke. "I am eternally sorry for everything I've done..."

Moriah's head turns back onto the altar they came very close, only a few steps away from. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to," she declared. "Prince Allister is the one." The two finally reached the end of the stone pathway to the altar where the seemingly sleeping young man laid.

Moriah's pale blue eyes stare down upon the pale skinned face of the sleeping man. "This is Zion..." she mumbled, her voice in disbelief. "I never thought I would actually get to see him face to face."

Adrian lightly smiled. "You sound very enthusiastic." he stated.

Moriah clenched her right hand on her chin. "I've read books about him ever since I was a small girl. The tales of his powers and who he truly was always fascinated me." she replied calmly. "Well, thinking about it now, I guess that fascination came from the fact that I'm a half-descendant of him. Even though I was just recently told about it."

"Then I suppose we should get Zion up to answer all of your questions, huh?" he said.

Moriah smiled, turning to Adrian. "Yeah!" she exclaimed. The Tablet of Zion was clenched tightly in her left hand, she pulled it up above Zion's body. She drew in oxygen into the threshold of her bellows, releasing it back into the atmosphere. "Alright, here we go."

Adrian turned his head over to the magic user. "Just place the Tablet onto his chest," he stated. "That should work."

Moriah shook her head, steadily lowering the Tablet down onto Zion's chest. Within the next ten seconds, the Tablet touchdowns onto the white plated chest of the comatose Zion. The two stared in anticipation, waiting eagerly for some sign that would spark life into their hope.

Seconds turned into minutes, and those minutes felt like hours. Moriah's eager and hopeful expression quickly melted like chocolate in the worst summer heat. Adrian's face dissipated in the same fashion. The only thing that kept them holding on - their last hope - seems to be fading.

Flies of sweat drop down from Moriah's forehead. "W-What the hell!?" nervously yelped Moriah. "Why isn't it working!?"

Adrian shakes his head in utter disbelief. "I have no clue..." he mumbled.

"C'mon!" she furiously roared. "You HAVE to wake up! You're our last hope!!" The situation in the stone prison where Zion has slept a sleep that spanned many years has become utterly hopeless. The end was surely approaching.

Meanwhile, outside of the castle and back into the lifeless city of Iericho. The rain that once fell upon the heads of those from the city of loss Advima has ceased in it's existence. The group steadily approached the jaws of the castle where the enemy slept.

Banners with full moons painted on them swayed helplessly with the wind, they stood representing a city that no longer had any life in it. Puddles of water covered many spots all around them. An eerie breeze passed them by. As the group kept their watch, an uneasy feeling gripped them all at the same time.

Lite shook his head left and right. "Does anybody feel that?" he asked out to his comrades, slowly taking another step. "This unexplainable feeling that you just can't quite shake?"

Allister had his head turned to the east, which was behind the group. His eyes shuffle from left to right. "I feel it too..." he mumbled, turning his head back towards the door into the castle that stood ajar.

But when Allister turned his head to face what was in front of the group, he saw a very familiar person glaring malice onto him. The prince gazed onto this face and his eyes quickly widened. He had a look of disbelief on his face. Before him was a young man with familiar ash gray irises that stared him down.

The young man tightly clenched a very long steel two-handed blade that he was only holding with one hand. Before them all was Daniel Adlay, the young man killed just a while back. Everybody had a look of disbelief on their faces, seeing someone that had already died be alive once again.

Allister couldn't believe his eyes. "D-Daniel...?" he shuddered, unable to decode exactly what was going on. Daniel glared straight at Allister, without turning to anyone else. His eyes an ocean of deep malice and iniquity. His breathing was deep and extremely rapid, almost like he was hyperventilating. His teeth pressing together extremely tightly and his face was a mask of fury.

His steel two-handed blade was clenched tightly in his right hand. Almost as quickly as his breathing, he stampeded towards Allister who was at the front of the group. Once close enough, Daniel hammers his giant steel sword down upon Allister. The young prince quickly pulls his shield up to defend himself.

Daniel's strike of his sword was so powerful that it cuts straight through the Blurite steel shield like scissors cutting across paper. Daniel's sword becomes embedded in Allister's left forearm. The strike also snaps the prince's Ulna and Radius in half, rendering his left arm almost useless.

Allister painfully glances onto the face of his brother. "Daniel..." he weakly called, his voice strained by agony. "What has happened to you?!"

"What has happened to you!?" Daniel quickly parroted, giving the same question back to the prince. "Alena is gone and it's all your FAULT!"

"I did everything I could, Daniel!" he quickly replied.

Daniel shook his head. "It wasn't good enough." he angrily spoke.

"And so, you choose to side with the being who caused the plague that killed her?" he questioned.

"I don't..." he growled. "But if he's giving me a chance to live then I'll gladly take it!"

"You're speaking nonsense, Daniel!" he yelled. "If you have the opportunity to live again, why not use it to end the monster who killed Alena!?!"

Daniel's sword began to quiver. "Because...because..." he repeated himself, his voice lost and unable to gather the answer. "I...just can't...!"

Allister realized that fear that lingered in Daniel's voice. "Why?..." he softly asked.

"I don't know..." he quickly replied. "I feel like my body isn't my own!" Daniel quickly pulls his blade out from Allister's left forearm. The young protector quickly pulls his blade back up into the air to go for another strike. His blade begins it's trip back down.

Suddenly, Bart quickly tackles Allister down onto the ground. Allister and Bart fall down onto the hard gray stone ground to dodge Daniel's attack. Just when Bart makes his move, fifty sharp shards of crystal just suddenly start shooting straight at the young Daniel.

Daniel starts swinging his two-handed blade all over the place where a shard of crystal charged toward him. His blade slices through all the shards with ease, it dances at speeds that only someone of superhuman strength could achieve.

Twenty seconds passed and all the shards of crystal laid shattered all over the ground. Daniel rested his right arm, his blade ready to strike again. Just suddenly from behind Daniel, he felt a force strike down on his back.

He turned to face the person behind him, it was Lelia. Her blade was up against him as if she went to strike her blade across his back. Daniel clenches his left hand into a tightly knitted fist and launches it like a missile at a target straight at Lelia's face.

His fist hammered against the bridge of her nose, sending her flying about five feet from where she originally stood. Her back whiplashes against the ground. A cut on the bridge of her nose began to bleed, pouring down onto the ground.

Varon draws his Crystal Shortsword, his eyes glaring almost deathly focus onto the white cloak of Saradomin that concealed Daniel's back. "Hey, how 'bout you stop beating girls up and come over here!" he yelled out to Daniel. "Come face your death like a man!"

Daniel glared behind him, his eyes furiously staring down Varon. Vincent charged at Daniel, his demonic claw ready to strike. Once in close range of Daniel, Vincent starts swinging his claw left and right several times. Daniel easily guards and dodges each and every attack thrown his way.

While Daniel was distracted, Bart rushed to all corners of the large, open road. Three of his very strong needles tucked in his hand. Once Vincent left himself open, Daniel slashed his blade across the young boy's torso. From his left shoulder all the way down to his right hip, Daniel's blade deeply sliced across the young boy's flesh.

He then quickly thrusts his blade multiple times into Vincent's abdomen. His blade pierces through his spleen, then all across his mid-abdomen. The pain was absolutely unbearable. The boy stood in shock, he felt the blade impale him time after time after time. He felt the blood forsake him.

Daniel suddenly ceased in his attack, quickly pulling his blade up to defend himself. Lite was in a lock with Daniel, his Chaotic Longsword ferociously pressing down against the steel blade locked in Daniel's right hand.

As Daniel was in a deadlock with Lite, at the corner of his eyes, he saw Allister charging towards him. Daniel pulled his left arm, his arm looked like a boomerang. His forearm was ready to take whatever Allister was going to dish out.

The prince continued his advance. His Saradomin Longsword began to flash with intensity, lightning bursts from the handle of his blade all the way down to the tip of his blade. Electricity physically revealed it's self, shaking all across his blade. Allister had a look on his face that was as intense as the lightning that covered his sword.

Just as the prince reached close range, Lite jumped backwards. Daniel realized that Lite had backed off and thus he tried to get his blade to defend the attack from the remorseless prince. The prince strikes his blade down on Daniel's left shoulder. Allister's Saradomin Longsword digs deep into Daniel's shoulder, breaking through his Humerus bone.

Daniel shook, feeling the pulse of electricity course through his body. The rancid smell of burning flesh engulfed the air, the burn of a thousand suns embraces Daniel's entire body. Allister sighs, he felt so full of grief. "Forgive me, Daniel," the prince mumbled. "This is just something I must do...I'm sorry."

"Forget about it, Allister," Daniel stated, a light smile grew on his face. "Just get it done so that I can return to Alena."

Allister shook his head. "Understood." he said, unleashing the powerful force of Saradomin. Daniel's entire body suddenly flashes with millions of bolts of electricity coursing all throughout his body. He grunts out in absolute agony, feeling the sting that's even greater than the sun.

After about thirty seconds, the electrocution subsides. Smoke pours out from all over Daniel, flowing out into the air. Daniel's body goes into a state where it begins to spasm uncontrollably. "Thank...you..." very weakly whispering Daniel to Allister just before his vision fades from blurry to pitch black.

Allister then turns to his comrades before him, but then realize that they all were staring at something behind the prince. His eyes widen and he sees the look of battle written on the faces of his comrades. He turns his body around to face whoever was behind him.

It was that strange man, Velius. His moss-green irises glare apathy onto the faces of his enemies. "Your end is here..." the black cloaked Velius mumbled. Ten Iericho soldiers, dressed in very commanding looking armour appear suddenly behind Velius.

Outnumbered, the group from Avdima ready themselves for battle. Velius and his group start their advance towards them, their footsteps bolting over to the enemy. The group from Avdima began their charge as well, galloping towards the incoming onslaught. The two groups collide in a battle to decide their fates.

Back within the castle, Moriah and Adrian are left puzzled by why Zion hasn't awoken. Bullet trains of sweat race down Moriah's forehead as her mind races with thousands of thoughts. Her hands trembled with fear. "Why won't you wake up!?" she yelled out to Zion, even though she got nothing in return. She grabbed Zion's shoulders and slightly shook him. "C'mon! Please!"

She then felt a hand clench tightly on her left shoulder. She paused when she felt that hand, turning her head around to see behind her. The black cloaked Drake stared her down. "Please calm down." he suggested to her.

Moriah realized that Drake was correct, closing her eyes as she figured that out. Her pale skinned hands release Zion's limp shoulders and she stands firm on her feet. Her frightened facial expression disappears, revealing a more calm look. "You're right," she spoke calmly. She turned to Drake and Adrian. "Whether we like it or not, we can't rely on Zion to stop Zin."

Drake shook his head in agreement. "Indeed," he concurred. "Zion has forsaken us as it would appear."

Moriah drew in air into her lungs, let it out with disappointment. "Which means somehow, we have to stop Zin on our own." she stated, but then her eyes went down. "But that kind of thinking is a complete fantasy. Only Zion has the power to stop Zin..."

Drake's eyes go down along with Moriah's. "Yes, unfortunately..." he mumbled, his voice lacking any hope.

Adrian looked towards the stairway where the three came from. "So," he softly spoke. "What can we do?"

Moriah shook her head. "Absolutely nothing, I'm afraid..." she hopelessly answered. "We're powerless against Zin."

Drake began walking towards the exit out of the tomb. "C'mon..." he spoke. "We need to find the others." Moriah and Adrian turned around to face the same staircase as Drake was facing. They began rewinding back from which they came, back into the narrow walled stairway with the message that stated the fate of the world.

They swiftly darted across the long ruby red carpet which led to the faded beige stone stairway. Their thoughts lost upon the darkness of helplessness that engulfed all of them. They blast up the staircase, ignoring the darkness that swallowed the atmosphere as soon as Moriah's feet stepped off of the gelid floor of the room that kept Zion's body.

It didn't matter how dark the room grew, in their minds it's something they need to get use to. It was the blackness of hopelessness, their state of mind. They charged up the staircase, the smell of death and blood went quickly into their nostrils. They bolted up the stairs, blasting the door out wide open.

Just outside the door that guarded the long stairway down was the young Dagon'hai, Tal. His back leaned against the east stone wall, the one on the opposite site of the door which imprisoned the three. He patiently awaited their arrival. Leaning against his right leg laid a very intimidating instrument.
