Gonna have to delay the chapter. I'm pushing into later into the weekend/early next week. It seems I jump from one illness and into another one. x_x

I'll continue writing just as soon as I can. Thanks again for your patience. And IF you grow with some kind of suspicion, note that I'm telling the truth. Just saying this just in case. <.<

Well, thanks again guys. :3

Sorry for all the delay, but here you go!

Chapter 25: Aggress

The night settles down in the sky, casting a dark line out into the sea of buildings and businesses. Despite all the recent chaos, the night of the city was most tranquil. The seemingly everlasting silence caped the entire city. The streets of concrete and stone lead straight into the middle of the city like veins into the heart of a human. The eerie albeit serene silence made traveling outside a bit creepy.

Within the walls of solid white limestone and wooden support beams, hundreds of books still embraced the frigid stone floor. The young magic user, Moriah sat quietly on a small wooden chair in front of the calm sea of books and papers. Her crystal blue eyes sluggishly scrolling across the great ocean of ink. Her face stuck under the mask of apathy as her breath quietly synchronized with her beating heart.

The moonlight was the only light lit anywhere. It peered through a small window to the north of the room, shining a small white light down at the right side of Moriah's face. All that surrounded her were empty bookshelves with nothing to call their own. The boy she rescued from the grasp of the blight laid asleep on a small dark emerald green couch beside Moriah.

Her mind glanced at many different thoughts about what tomorrow may hold. She couldn't help herself when it came down to it. She was greatly concerned about the day, especially about the fact that they must head into the arms of the enemy once again in order to obtain Zion's body. It was an overwhelming apprehension that couldn't escape her thoughts.

She didn't feel the burden of fatigue hammer down on her. She didn't feel tired at all. Moriah drew in the air of life into the embrace of her lungs, releasing the captured soldier of air back into the atmosphere. At the corner of her right eye, she saw a dark figure looking into her home, looking into her. Her head turned onto the looking glass that blew a searchlight into the darkness that engulfed her home. But she sees nothing.

~+~+~

As the darkness in the Fifth Age surrounded the lives within the walls of cities, the moon begins to effloresce like a rose in the sky of the Third Age. The steady deposit of snow had ceased which caused the endless army of clouds to retreat back to hiding. However, within the darkness of the night will be terror...

Zion sat on his bed, the right side of his face planted against the stone wall. His emerald green look out into the snow cloaked world through his window. The semi-transparent Modello sat quietly in the upper left corner of the room beside the fireplace. Suddenly, just as the absence of sound was starting to settle down, a huge rush of footsteps and heavy panting echo from outside the room.

The door into the Zion's room blasts open, revealing an exhausted Lance. His eyes focus straight down upon the red hooded boy in front of him. "Lord Zion!" he yelped.

Zion's glance turned to the soldier. "Lance," he quickly spoke. "What goes on?"

"They have my daughter!" frightfully yelled Lance. "The Zamorakians have my Alicia!!"

Zion jumps off the bed quickly, his face a mask of a thousand emotions. An anger erupted in the young boy as his eyes lose focus on Lance. "I will get her back," he assured. "But do not try to follow me."

Lance gulped saliva down his esophagus. "A-as you wish, sir..." he acknowledged, bowing his head to the young thirteen-year-old boy. "T-they wait outside the gates into Lucio." The boy shook his head, absorbing the words Lance spoke. Zion closed his eyes, focusing rather strongly on the thought of the gates leading into the small fortress. Suddenly the boy is enveloped by the embrace of a powerful and warm white light.

Lance is taken back by this, stepping backwards as his eyes looked upon the boy in amazement. Just as quickly as the compassionate light appeared, it just as quickly disappeared. It took Zion and the unseeable Modello with it. Outside the gates into the city of Lucio stood at least fifty elite soldiers with the skills of an absolute killer.

In front of the small army was a tall man. He wore a black surcoat with the unholy symbol of Zamorak in the center and wore a long black cape that reached down to his calf. Underneath his surcoat was runite chainmail and his hands were cloaked by gauntlets made of solid runite. His legs were coated by runite platelegs that had red trimming. He also wore sturdy runite boots that reached up below his knees.

He was pale skinned and very muscular. And he was bald with no facial hair. His eyes were a fiercesome red and he wore multiple scars on his face. One came vertically down his right eye, another one swept horizontally across the middle of his face. He also had one vertically down the left side of his lip and one that went across his forehead. The man wore an extreme malice on his face.

Just behind the man stood a knight with Alicia just in front of him. His sword held very closely to her throat. He wore a rune helmet that was trimmed in red. In fact all other soldiers except the man at the helm of the army wore the same helmet. Alicia's left thigh had an arrow stuck in it, blood slowly crawled down her leg.

Before the man unexpectedly appeared a blinding white light. It lit up the darkness of the night. All the soldiers in the back cloaked their eyes. But the man at front continued to stare with readiness. Alicia closed her eyes but she knew deep within herself who it was that will come from the light that engulfs the snow cloaked land. From the light slowly emerged a boy.

But to those gazing upon the boy, he appeared like a shadow specter that was caped in a hood. Just as he stepped out from the gates of light, his angry emerald green eyes gaze upon the man in front of the army. Once his irises lock on the scarred man, the portal of heavenly white light disappears from sight. The red hood concealed the upper half of the boy's face so the soldiers were unable to see his eyes.

The scarred man gazed upon the thirteen-year-old boy. "So, you must be Zion," he said, his voice had a French-English speaking accent. It was full of confidence. "Heh, you're just a child."

"You shouldn't be so quick to judge, general," replied Zion. "It may just cost you everything."

"Have you even considered surrendering?" questioned the general. "Afterall, it is only wise."

"Let her go." he demanded, not even answering the general's question.

"I am a general of the most powerful army to ever exist in this land." he replied. "And you actually believe that I'm going to obey the commands of a boy?"

"It's just a title," he said. "It means nothing."

The general smirked. "Now I wonder who's being so quick to judge," he riposted. "I'll explain since you clearly lack an understanding. I have fought thousands of battle and I still stand. Most men cannot say the same. I have seen the eyes of a thousand dead comrades. I have heard the screams of ten-thousand men. And I have felt the blood of hundred-thousand men slither down my armour. I have fought and sacrificed much to earn the respect of my fellow brothers in arms. So the rank of general is not JUST a title, but an honor for all that you have done."

"I don't need an understanding of your pathetic sense of pride and honor," angrily responded Zion. "There is nothing to be proud about in slaying innocent people."

"If that's what you believe," he said. "You and the rest of your foolish kind can die believing it."

"Let. Her. Go." he furiously demanded, his voice a flood of indignation.

The general's smirk grows into a evil grin. "No." he answered, acknowledging that now they are at an impasse. Zion's eyes suddenly flash white and the ground begins to rumble like a fastly pounding heart. Everyone, including the general were taken back by this sudden uproar of shaking. The general nervously shakes his head left and right several times.

From underneath the feet of the fifty soldiers behind the general, the shaking grew even more intense. Out from under the ground beneath the soldier's feet, a huge explosion of fire blasts out. The fire blows across all fifty soldiers, sending bodies and limbs flying across the area. The general could only watch in terror. His eyes widened and his hands shaking. "You...!" he fearfully yelped.

A large fire roars from the area where fifty elite soldiers once stood. Moans and whimpers that echoed pain and suffering engulfed the air. The general turned to his last remaining soldier beside him. "Kill her!" he loudly commanded.
