I think I might take a break from this one, but I will read the entries! Oh yeah, Sir Snyder3, I read your entry to the last contest and I have to say it was pretty damn good. You have some talent and I wish good luck to you in this contest. :)
I read your post in the last contest thread and you said it was your first contest. It was mine too, which made it so cool that we both scored so highly.

I came up with an idea for this prompt that's too good to pass up. I think I'm going to have to enter this one -- if you need another judge/were counting on me to judge, Coz, I'm sure I could find you another judge.

I was wondering if an entry with LGBT themes would be considered appropriate for this contest? I would obviously not focus on, for lack of a better word, anatomical details, and I would treat the subject matter with sincere respect.

LadySheeana, You wouldn't be the first one to post that kind of story in this forum. Not too long ago it was decided that romance of both orientations is to be treated in the exact same way under the rules, and official contests do not have any special requirements other than the prompt (and any other rules on page 1). The following relevant rules apply to all stories, and are part of the RuneScape forum rules:
- Don't be too explicit.
- Don't break the censor.
- Don't say anything offensive about a real person or group.
As long as you follow the above directions and common sense, you should be alright, even if you focus on this theme. If you ask after you post your entry, and you give me some time before the deadline, I will be glad to give you a chance to remove anything which isn't acceptable from your entry.

I've added a post on page 1 describing how to format stories so that they will look right on our online judging system. It uses a standard called Markdown to display text. For example, text in your story can be bolded if you surround it with two * characters. Make sure all paragraphs are separated by two line-breaks (with a complete empty line between them).

I'll have participate in this one. After all, I've missed every other.
Good on you, Aeraie. Knowing you, it'll be brilliant.
EDIT: With the character limit, I probably won't achieve my usual eloquence... We shall see...

Yeah... I think I've come to this conclusion as well. I just thought of an idea that's pretty damn good. I might have to put it to use.

“Shigosuru Yusaka”
“Voice recognised. Welcome, Secretary-General Shigosuru.” A light to the Secretary-General's left flashed green, and the door before opened with a loud hum. Yusaka winced, annoyed by the sound, but philosophically accepted the need to prevent anyone from entering his office with impunity. There were a thousand and one top-security documents on the desk alone, all of them concerning threats to international peace.
On said desk, Yusaka noted a new folder sitting in front of him. Recognising the seal on the front, he brushed a lock of his long grey hair from his face, using the action to surreptitiously look at the black-clad figures standing next to the door. His wife had always criticised him for not cutting that hair; she had not anticipated a situation where it would come in handy. The Secretary-General still wondered why these men had been assigned to protect him, this mysterious new Shadow Guard. The assembly had insisted on them, for reasons Yusaka couldn’t even guess at. They seemed ill-equipped to protect anyone, armed only with swords coated in gold leaf. That was why he had sent a man to find out about them, and consequently, why this folder was on his desk. Yusaka made sure the guards wouldn’t be able to see into folder, then opened it and began to pore over its contents.
To: Secretary-General Shigosuru Yusaka, Secretary-General of the UN, head of the family Shigosuru
From: Special Agent Finis, NATO Meritorious Service, United Nations medal
Priority: [FOR YOUR EYES ONLY], Top Secret
In response to Given Directive One, I have looked into the following matters:
The questionable actions of the UN member nations.
The appearance of the “Shadow Guard”.
Your isolation in the UN building, “for your own safety”.
During said investigations, a lot of unusual information came up. To speak frankly, sir, something big is going on. Something they’ve been hiding from both the UN and NATO.
Forgive my language, but we’re in deep [REDACTED].
