Chapter 29: Insanity

The Camelot castle of the White Knights is under attack by the Black Knights, the sworn enemy of the White Knights. Isaac and Velator encountered each other in the east wing hallway of the castle. With spear in hand, Velator waits for his enemy. Isaac sighed, right after then - he charges at Velator.

Velator quickly grabs his bow and grabs three arrows from his quiver. He turns his bow sideways and fires the three arrows at Isaac. Right when the arrows were about to pierce Isaac, Isaac leans back and dodges the line of arrows. Issac's right hand glowed purple, he throws out that hand and an orb of purple light shoots at Velator.

Velator side rolls and dodges the weakening attack. Velator charges at Isaac and thrusts his spear once close enough. Isaac jumps high up into the air and lands on Velator's spear. Isaac lands an extremely hard kick right to the side of Velator's head; which actually leaves a small crack on his bone helmet.

Velator shoots up to his feet while he was kneeling, stunned after the devastating kick by Isaac. Velator charges at Isaac, and swung his spear to the left. Isaac blocks however his left hand's sword is thrown out of his hand. Suddenly, Zechariah appears and tackles Velator from the back. Isaac walks over to his sword and grabs it.

He looks at Zechariah. "Well, it's about time." Isaac said.

"Is that a choice words for 'thank you' Isaac?" Zechariah replied. Zechariah looks down upon Velator, who was reaching for his spear. Zechariah smirks and kicks it away. "Aw..sorry. No spears for peasants."

"I'm a peasant, huh?" Velator said as he grabs the Dragon Dagger from his back pocket. He quickly stabs Zechariah's left foot.

Zechariah grit his teeth in both angry and pain. He kicks the arm that stabbed his foot. He continuously stomped down upon Velator's body. "Who do you think you are, you worthless piece of trash!?!"

A Black Knights runs over to Zechariah. "General!" the guard greeted.

"What is it? Can't you see I'm busy?!"

The Black Knight goes closer to Zechariah. "Bye.." he whispered.

"What!?" Right after he said that, he gets stabbed in the gut. Everyone's eyes were widened. Blood poured to the ground. The knight pulled his sword out of Zechariah. He fell to his knees and looked up at the knight. The knight was smirking upon his death. Zechariah fell to the ground in a pool of his own blood.

Isaac looks at the knight. "Do you realize what you've just done!?!" he shouted. But then he quickly thinks, and remembers something. "Perhaps you're not a knight afterall, eh Spero Forseti?"

The Black Knight's armour disappeared and re-appeared as Guthix armour, it was Spero using his shape shifting ability. "Heh..." he giggled.

Velator got to his feet. "Thanks Spero." he thanked.

"No problem."

"This will be interesting." Suddenly, a knife is stabbed in Velator's left shoulder. He grit his teeth. A Dragon Dagger was handle to his throat. He slightly turns his head to see who it was - it was Kyrie. Spero looks at Isaac who readies the blades in his hands. Spero summons his silver blade into his hand as the battle was ready to begin.

At the training room. Deus and Julie had encountered Kvetch and Alberto. Alberto looks at Kvetch. "I'll take Deus. You take Julie." he commanded. "Very vell." Kvetch replied. Julie pulled back an arrow and shot it at Kvetch. Kvetch grabbed the arrow before it hit him and threw it in his mouth. He giggled as he slowly walked towards Julie who continued to fire arrow after arrow.

But each arrow that she shot, it would just get eaten by Kvetch. Kvetch was close enough to begin attacking. Deus put his axe in-between Kvetch and Julie. Kvetch looks at Deus who was shaking his head side to side. "Don't even think about it." Deus stated.

Kvetch giggled. Alberto run over. He points his Black two-handed Sword by Deus' throat. "I hope you weren't thinking about protecting her. Unfortunately, you won't." Alberto said to Deus.

"I hope you weren't thinking about cutting my throat." Deus replied.

"Yeah, he's cheated death before." Kvetch replied.

"I've cheated death before myself. You got it lucky."

Deus quickly knocks a punch in Alberto's face. Deus swung his axe down upon Kvetch who dodged the attack with ease. Kvetch revealed one of his short blades from underneath his left sleeve. He charged at Deus who stabbed his axe into Kvetch's left shoulder. However, Kvetch got Deus on his right shoulder.

Kvetch giggled. The two jump back as Kvetch continued to giggle. Kvetch looked at his wound and his wound began to close. Almost instantly, his wound closed completely. Julie launched an arrow at Kvetch. Alberto quickly ran over to the arrow and swung his sword. The arrow deflects off the sword and lands on the ground. Alberto smirked.

"It seems like there is a change in plan." Alberto said. "It seems we'll need to work together to defeat them."

"If they insist." Kvetch replied.

Julie continued to shoot arrow after arrow. Alberto either deflected them or Kvetch ate them. Deus actives his ability to increase his strength to superhuman. Deus lifted his axe into the air and smacked it at the ground. A huge quake quickly moved Kvetch and Alberto's way. Kvetch jumped over to a hook that was hanging from the ceiling. Alberto began floating in midair.

"Enough playtime. Time to get serious, right Kvetch?" Alberto asked.

"Yeah. This is getting boring." he replied.

Alberto closed his eyes. He re-opened them, revealing that they began to glow crimson red. He began to growl for blood. Alberto's Black two-handed Sword grew demonic spikes. The onyx gem began to glow black as strange crimson red roots grew out from it.

Alberto disappeared and re-appeared behind Deus. Deus quickly turned his head and got kicked in the gut.

Alberto roundhouse kicked Deus on the side of his head. Deus was sent to the ground. Deus threw his axe like a over sized tomahawk at Alberto. Alberto quickly knelled to the ground and barely missed by a hair. Deus charged after his axe. He hopped on Alberto's head to grab his axe - in which he would. Once he did, he stabbed his entire axehead through Alberto's torso.

Alberto laughed. He looked behind him and looked at Deus. He shook his head side to side. Deus' eye widened, unable to find a reason to why Alberto could still be alive.

"You should be...dead.." Deus stated.

"You truly thought you could kill me? Don't be a fool." Alberto replied. "They don't call me "The Undying" for nothing."

Deus rips his axe out of Alberto. Alberto just stood there, laughing. After a moment, he sighed. He turned his back and faced Deus who was still in shock. Alberto looks over at Kvetch and gave him the thumbs up. Kvetch giggled. Kvetch made his way over to Deus and Alberto. Kvetch began to attack Deus.

Deus dodged each attack until he attacked. Kvetch grabbed Deus' axe in his mouth. He giggled. Deus tried to pull it out but was unable to. Kvetch pushed his teeth down and the axe began to crack. After another moment, the axe completely shattered before Deus' eyes. The handle of the axe fell to the ground, completely lost of it's head.

Deus took a few steps back in intimidation. Kvetch laughed. "Vhat's the matter, soldier? You're shaking." Kvetch taunted. Whenever Kvetch took a step forward, Deus took a step back. Several arrows pierced Kvetch's back. Kvetch looks behind him and saw Julie with her bow pointed at him.

"Get away from him!" she shouted.

"Don't be an idiot Julie!! Run!!!" Deus yelled.

"But..."

"That's an order!!"

She tightly closed her eyes as tears fell down. "..Don't die...." she mumbled as she ran out.

Meanwhile, at the main room where all the knights would hang out. Dante was in the room, with his back against the wall. His arms crossed and his eyes closed. He looked as if he was waiting for something, or possibly someone. Suddenly, Angelo appeared in the middle of the room across from Dante.

"I've been waiting for you." Dante said upon Angelo's arrival. Dante revealed his false Guthix Godsword. "What is your reason for wanting the Sword of the Shining Rays?"

"Reasons." Angelo quickly replied.

"Very well. Your intentions may be kept secret."

Dante charged at Angelo. He swung down his blade at Angelo who blocked. Angelo kicked Dante's gut which made him slide onto the ground. Angelo attempted to stab Dante while he was on the ground but Dante rolled sideways barely dodging it. Dante's sword lit into green flames. He swung it down upon Angelo who quickly reacted to the attack.

Angelo disappeared right before it could hit him and re-appeared behind Dante. But suddenly from the roof came Roy crashing down. He smacked into the hard stone tile floor on his back. From the roof stared down Cassius. Cassius jumped down and landed right in-front of him. Cassius had his black and white wings but both his eyes were glowing crimson red.

He picked up Roy by his throat with no emotion, no hesitation; just a stolid expression. Cassius' Dragon two-handed Sword and his entire right arm began to electrocute. Red lighting shot out from all over. Dante's eyes were widened as he hasted over. He lights his sword in green flames. Cassius quickly threw Roy away and stabbed Dante in the gut.

A blast of electricity shot out of Cassius' sword. Dante zoomed to the nearest wall where he slammed back first. Dante fell to his knees as he began to cough out blood. Dante lost his strength and fell to the ground. Cassius looked at Dante with no emotion. He placed his sword by his side and turned his attention back to Roy who had gotten to his knees.

Cassius walked over and kicked Roy while he was on the ground. Cassius suddenly got shot by a Fire Blast. Though it did nothing, it did catch his attention. Cassius teleports to the roof where Anna was. "Is that really all you have, you pathetic excuse for a magic user." Cassius said to Anna.

Roy jumped to the roof. "Leave her alone!!" he shouted. He swung the Sword of the Shining Rays at Cassius who dodged it easily. Cassius sighed. Cassius teleports behind Roy and knees his back and throws him off the roof and right back on the snow covered ground. Roy lands hard on his back. Cassius teleports down to where Roy was.

Roy smirked and giggled a bit with confidence. Cassius looked at Roy with a stolid expression. "Anna!! Now!!" Roy shouted. A Steel Shortsword pierced Cassius in the gut. Still, Cassius didn't show an expression. He looks over at Anna who was a far. Cassius' sword and entire right arm began to electrocute again. However, the electricity looked more violent.

Cassius points his sword Anna's way. Roy quickly realized what was about to happen. Roy quickly got to his feet and hasted over Anna's way. Roy's eyes stopped glowing and went back to normal. "Anna!! Look out!!!!" he yelled. Cassius shot the lighting. Roy got close to Anna, he pushed her out of the way and took the shot.

Anna got up and her eyes widened. She ran over and fell to her knees. "Roy! Roy!!" she continued to shouted. Cassius walked over to Roy and Anna. Anna looked up at Cassius, frightened. Cassius still had no expression as he looked down at Anna. He grabbed the Sword of the Shining Rays and points his Dragon two-handed Sword at her throat with intentions to kill.

"That is enough. We do not need to overkill." Angelo said as he suddenly appeared. Cassius didn't place his sword down. Instead, he placed his sword closer to Anna's throat to the point that he left a small cut on her throat. "Prince Cassius. Let us go, we have what we came here for. Let the girl live."

Cassius just placed his sword away from Anna's throat. He walked over to Angelo as the two disappeared. After an hour, the Black Knights returned to Falador. Angelo walked over to the Demonic god and gave him the Sword of the Shining Rays.

"Here is the sword as you instructed." Angelo said.

"Very good. I shall begin the transformation." Malvolio said.

"Why did you just do this earlier?" Cassius asked.

"I had not have enough demonic power around me to even began the ritual." Malvolio placed his left hand on the middle of the blade. "Darkness of all demon's hearts, enter within this blade and consume the light into blight. Eat away the shine and may it be replaced with evil. Shadows fall upon the holy rays of this sword. May darkness rise, and light fall. Oh, mighty demons - consume it all!!"

Where his hand was - strange dark purple like veins grew to each side of the blade. The once sky blue color changed into pitch black, the darkness of demons. The sword began to glow with demonic power. Malvolio gave the sword to Angelo. Malvolio giggled evilly. Malvolio points his left index finger at the blade then quickly pointed at Cassius.

"Taste my vengeance, worm!" Malvolio shouted. "Perfect Demonic Corruption!!" Cassius' eyes widened. He fell to his knees and began shouting out in pain. Malvolio laughed. Angelo looked at Malvolio. "What did you do!?!" he shouted. Cassius grabbed his head as he continued to shout in absolute pain. Black wings grew out from his back and his eyes began to glow crimson red.

Cassius stood to his feet and began to snarl. His eyes looked very violent and his expression was the most violent, savage, and enraged look. Malvolio looked at Cassius and laughed. Cassius pointed his left index finger at Angelo and the Sword of the Darkest Days disappeared out of Angelo's hands and into Cassius'.

Cassius disappeared and re-appeared in-front of Malvolio. Cassius stabbed his sword into Malvolio's gut and pushed up - cutting the Demonic god almost in half. Blood just poured out. What was left of the Demonic god fell to the ground. Angelo looked at Cassius. "Don't leave!" he shouted.

Cassius didn't reply. He began flapping his wings and lifted into the air. He flew out the window and into the endless night. At the Camelot castle, in the medic room. Spero fell to his knees, feeling a great corrupted presence. Anna rushed to Spero, concerned.

"Are you okay?" she asked, worried.

"...There is a great presence...of corruption. Perhaps the strongest....I have..ever felt..." he replied.
