Chapter 24: War for the Sword

Cassius, who somehow returned from being possessed had just shot a strong shot of electricity at one of the hooded people, Valdis. The smoke from the explosion slowly disappeared. When the smoke had disappeared all the way, it revealed Valdis had been hit as she was laying down on the ground with blood covering her head to toe.

Cassius looks back at Roy and points his electric Dragon two-handed Sword at Roy. The electricity was shocking all around the sword. Roy's eyes changed back to the color Aquamarine. Roy lifts his left hand into the air at Cassius and a blast of energy shoots out of his hand. Cassius barely dodges the attack but he did. Cassius shot some electricity at Roy.

Roy swung the Sword of the Shining Ray at the electricity. The electricity deflected away from Roy once it impacted with the sword. Roy charged at Cassius. Once Roy got close to Cassius, Cassius disappeared. Roy shuffles his eyes left and right, looking for Cassius.

Suddenly, Cassius appeared on Roy's left side, takes the Sword of the Shining Rays from out of his hand, teleports behind him, and shot a strike of lighting at Roy's back. This was all done so fast that Roy didn't even know. A plain of smoke covers the area where Roy once stood. Cassius just walked away from Roy and headed to the exit.

He however looked back at Roy who was on the ground with a huge burn on his back. Roy was still conscious at the time. He looked at Cassius, his eyes filled with many emotions. "Just to let you know." Cassius said. "This shrine, along with this island is going to slowly disappear once I leave this shrine with the sword."

After that, Cassius disappeared. After he did, the ground around began to quake. Roy slowly got to his feet. The small hole in the roof transformed into a hole that allowed water to crash through. Roy began to run for his life.

He ran through the exit out of the chamber where the sword was kept. Right after he did, the door to the room disintegrates into water. Roy fell to his knees, withered of all his strength. The water was up to his waist. Roy looked up at the water just floating in midair. It began to leak. "Ah...bloody hell..." he mumbled.

The water floating stopped floating and crashed throughout the room. After a moment, the entire room had disappeared. Roy was unable to catch a breath. His vision blurred as he slowly lost his consciousness. When he went unconscious. Cassius teleported back where Roy was, grabbed his left shoulder, and teleported himself and Roy out.

Velator fought the man on the left, Zadkiel. Velator stroke his spear to the left. Zadkiel blocked with his right Katar. Zadkiel disappeared and re-appeared behind Velator. Zadkiel tried to impale Velator, but he quickly dodged. Velator quickly grabbed his Yew Comp Bow and began shooting arrows rapidly.

Zadkiel swung his Katar around to deflect the arrows. Zadkiel charged at Velator. Velator quickly pulled out his Dragon Dagger and stabbed Zadkiel in the gut. However, this caused Velator to also get stabbed in both his right and left shoulders. Velator pulled out his dagger and jumped back. Suddenly, by the entrance, a flood of water crashed through as the door to the shrine disintegrated into more water. The land around began to also disintegrate into water.

Everyone tried to reach for higher ground, but many of the Zamorakian and Saradominist soldiers fell into the raging endless blue. Cassius suddenly appeared before his comrades with Roy over his shoulders. Samil looks at Cassius, he sees Cassius saved Roy - their enemy. Cassius drops Roy to the ground. Roy's eyes cracked open. He looks up at Cassius who was staring him down.

"Be lucky." Cassius mumbled to Roy. Cassius looks back at his two comrades and gives the Sword of the Shining Rays to Samil.

"Where is Valdis!?!" Samil shouted.

"Yeah...she would be about 500 feet below - good luck finding her."

"You dare mock our-"

"Calm down Samil." Zadkiel said. "Cassius Lysimachus. You have Seth under control, I see."

"Yeah. He wasn't that hard to take down."

Zadkiel puts his hands on the two's shoulders. They are teleported away back to the present. Everyone else is also suddenly transported back to the present Camelot. Everyone walks into the kingdom and Deus takes Roy to the medic room for further recovery. Meanwhile, at the Demonic god's tower. The group of three return to the tower with the sword. Malvolio sees the three, and sees the Sword of the Shining Rays. Malvolio giggled.

However, Samil was upset. "My lord..." Samil mumbled.

"We apologize for the wait sir. We have the Sword of the Shining Rays as you pleased." Zadkiel said as he gave the sword to the Demonic god. "My lord. May we speak in privacy?"

"Very well." Malvolio replied. The two walk into the room with the stone slab in the middle. Zadkiel looks at Malvolio serious. "Father. It seems Seth is unable to control Cassius Lysimachus."

"Is that so?" Malvolio thinks for a moment. "There is only one way we can save Seth and get rid of Cassius for good."

Zadkiel shook his head side to side, disagreeing with what the Demonic god is about to suggest. "No, With all due respect, father. I just cannot allow you to do that. Don't you remember what happened to Tsillah?"

"Yes. I do remember. But, there is no other way, is there?"

Zadkiel growled. "...A-alright..."

The two left the room. The Demonic god looks at Cassius, who was staring at him. Malvolio hasted over to Cassius and quickly places his left hand upon Cassius' forehead. Cassius' vision went negative. The area where Malvolio's hand was began to burn Cassius.

Within in a vision, human Cassius appeared before the Demonic god. Cassius shook his head side to side. "You're too weak to defeat me." Cassius said. Suddenly, Malvolio is pushed out and away from where Cassius is standing in real life. Malvolio growled. "He's stronger than I thought." Malvolio mumbled to himself.

Seth took control for a moment. He was screaming in absolute pain. "Father!!! Help me!!! It hurts!!" he screamed. Malvolio grabbed the Sword of the Shining Rays and charged back to the vision.

Cassius shook his head side to side. "What did I just get done telling you?" he questioned.

Malvolio points the Sword of the Shining Rays. A beam of energy shoots at Cassius. He is brought to his knee as he grit his teeth. "You are nothing. Nobody wants you, nobody needs you. You are an existence that can disappear."

Cassius' eyes went down to almost closed. "I am nothing. Nobody wants me, nobody needs me. I am an existence that can disappear."

"Nobody cares about you. You are better off dead."

"I am nothing. Nobody wants me, nobody needs me. I am an existence that can disappear. Nobody cares about me. I am better off dead."

"Disappear. Move on. To the next life."

Cassius turns around and began to walk. "I am nothing. Nobody wants me, nobody needs me. I am an existence that can disappear. Nobody cares about me. I am better off dead. I am nothing. Nobody wants me, nobody needs me. I am an existence that can disappear. Nobody cares about me. I am better off dead."

He continued to repeat those words. As he continued to go further and further away, his words echoed throughout the endless black. After another minute, he disappeared.
