Chapter 1
Gielinor was the heartiest of realms. The sun shone from the north and the trinity of day called to be adventurous at the end of the third age. The gods of Gielinor made the place in balance. Guthix ever silent in the making of prospect upon will. Saradomin the force of all good and wellbeing and did hope that all found peace and tranquility upon them. Zamorak the god of evil and all things wretched existed to bring balance to the lands, not all in these lands worshipped the good creeds of Saradomin and seeked to worship those that were in the knowing of darkness. The lands were an escapade to be seen. Towns and cities that most would marvel at and scenery, mountains and deserts that only some would see. It would take the mightiest of adventurer to roam parts of Gielinor. Many creatures an abominations took part in these lands and some were to be feared. Like the mighty Elvarg that was slayed under the depths of Crandor. The one that done this was unnamed but some revel in song at the nameless dragon slayer whom he stopped years of carnage and fear in those lands. Northern lands is where none would venture. The wilderness they called it and a wilderness it was. Marauders and dragons even revenants would claim the life of one if one did not have their wits about them. It was scarce you heard of anyone going past Edgeville the town that laid close. You would hear tales in the blue moon inn in Varrock of folks going north to explore and the next day you would find their skulls lined up outside the inn. Allot of the forces in the wilderness are unknown and remain unspoken by the common folk. Omek walked lumbridge he had arrived in Gielinor by passing through the island of Karlea. He was Karlean by nature and spoke the common tongue of Gielinor. His meeting with Vanakka on the island ended well. They spoke of karlea and how the realm was running dry of excitement for an adventurer most reveling in the own comforts of chicken, beer and books.

. None were enamored for excitement. So Omek decided to set for Gielinor the meeting with Vanakka ended well and he gave Omek a sword, shield and a bow and some arrows to go with it. The wizard who warped him here gave him some runes also. Teaching him a unique spell. Called wind strike. Omek thought this would be most lucrative on his adventure for something new. “Get you’re axes, get em here, get em cheap” shouted Bob out his shop window. Omek glanced at him, he thought to himself he is going to need one of those when night hits, a fire will be needed. He walked into the shop. Hung from the walls were goblin skulls, the windows has orange silk drapings looming low to the ground like elegant etiquette of a rich mans retreat. The counter had many axes of different kinds all hatchets none looked steady for killing or fighting. Bob looked happy by nature his dark skin and plain clothes made for a man who was not materialistic he had no jewelry or fine silks to boot. He seemed happy as he spoke to Omek. “Seems I beckoned ye in good soul, what do I call ye”. “Omek, I am known, I am new to these lands from Karlea land of tales and fables, though the land of fat omens and drunkards”. Bob laughed “heard it’s got a bit lazy over that realm ever since the slaying of Meradunair everything has been in peace”. Omek smiled. “Yes it’s gotten fat to the bone and smells like onions in those parts, can’t walk a yard without some wifey offering me a pie, it’s the moores of the horsewifes if you ask me, too many round bellies not enough grit, that’s why I’m here. “You certainly don’t look like someone from around here”. Omek stood tall above Bob His black leather vest was lined with steel and his arms wrapped round were steel small steel spaulders making him look sturdy his brown leather boots seemed sturdy and well worn. “I’m looking for an axe, a good one well priced though. I’m not a mint but I have a few coins to be spending. Omek had brought gold bars with him from Karlea.

Vanakka swapped them for five hundred gold. Enough to get him sorted with what he needed. Bob walked over to the far end of the shop and put his hand into a box. “Just received these from Keldagrim. Sturdy Dwarven steel. Not a Yew tree would take a chunk out this axe, seventy five and it’s yours. Omek smiled. “Seems like you have a deal”. Omek opened his purse and started to count the coins. “You got any tinderboxes also?” asked Omek. “Sure, one coin. Gotta keep the heat and the meats on the roast”. The exchange was over. Omek spoke as bob counted up the coins. “Know of anyone needing anything done, you know a task or a favor. “Talk to Hans, you’ll find him at the courtyard of the castle, he seems to know all the gossip in these parts”. Bob handed him the steel axe it seemed sturdy and very well made, Omek placed it in the back pack. “Farewell salesmen, I shall be recommending you”. “Cheers mate, all the best”. The walk from Bob’s shop to the courtyard took little time he passed a few cow merchants trying to sell him hides and he passed a begger asking him for a coin, dancing for him like a man possessed. Omek entertained none of it. He walked through the castle gates. It was shining. Clean as could be and the air smelled fresh too. Lumbridge was a clean town the standards were draping down from the windows he could see the castle door. It was closed and the guards were standing with their arms folded with serious looks on their faces. Omek walked up to a stranger. He was sitting on the floor leaning against a barrel. He was whittling something out of wood. ”I’m looking for Hans” asked Omek “Over there by the spice stall. See him bitching on about something, Absolute cream vixen if you ask me, but go on and speak you’ll get a good word from him”. Omek laughed “Thanks stranger, I suppose gossips have their ways, I once knew one in Karlea went as Winstal. He was the munion of the fish sauce if you ask me. The stranger laughed.

“Well this one seems to know everyone and it seems hes a right fogart”. Omek walked away laughing. He walked over to Hans at the other end of a courtyard. “You must be Hans?” he questioned. “ahh if I’m Hans, then you must be.. wait who are you?”. “Omek I go by, I’m looking for some work I’m here from Karlea”. Hans butted in “Ohh Karlea if I could just be granted passage I’d be there in an instant, ohh the chicken, the beer battered onion rings and don’t forget the mulled wines ohh how heavenly and how sporting”. “I left that place because of all that, it was driving me up the wall”. “Well I tell you what, tell me the story I need to hear it then I’ll let you in on a little job the duke needs done”. Omek knew he would be telling this tale over and over being where he is from. Omek cleared his throat “Well understandably the god that created Karlea was known as Maldorah his power in the tower of life had grown weak with the crystal of the starlet Elysium going missing. For it was Meradunair who had stolen it. He had infused it with himself to grant ultimate power over karlea. He summoned his followers by preaching how the ways of Karlea had grown distasteful and bleak and there was no prosperity. Then there was war. The king Vorkela with the sword of the illlusai slayed Meradungal, Meradunairs son and absorbed his soul for strength giving him enough power to slay Meradunair cheaply with his own sons blood as a binding spell”. “Ohh how exiting, tell me more” shouted Hans. “Well understandably the crystal was placed back in the rightful place and the room sealed by the archmage Durian Elkar, so none can enter. We have peace in karlea”. “Sounds like the place to be” said Hans. “Well the work?” asked Omek. “Yes, very well”. Hans in his red silk shirt straightened it out then spoke. “Over the bridge there is an old abandoned house, it seems a pack of goblins have taken residence. The duke is looking for someone brave enough to enter and take them out,

, none have bitten the hard straw yet”. “Goblins!” shouted omek “hellfull scornful omens, brainless though strong by nature, I think I can handle it”. “It’s just south of the cow fields you can’t miss it near the chicken pens” said Hans. “What sort of reward is in it for me if I am risking my life” asked Omek. “I’m not entirely sure, an audience with the duke, so that means money, Coins gold, silver, trinkets!”. “I must thank you Hans, you have been very helpful”. “So you’re going?” asked Hans. “Yes I’m going, right now”. “I’ll let the guards know, that there is a mighty Karlean afoot us, and he is dealing with the house”. Omek walked off. Hans threw a white rose at him as he walked away and shouted “God speed, Omek”.

Chapter two
It was a long walk to the bridge. He took in the new scenery it was delightful for Omek, the blue sky seemed natural and the sun to the north lay ever so quaintly as day slipped by. Omek passed many houses and folks on the way. He found a spot by a river to rest for the night he was about halfway to the bridge. The area he chose was surrounded in trees. He decided it was time to put his new axe to the test he chopped at an evergreen tree and in three hacks he cut of a large branch cutting it off into sections. He then pruned the branches for faggots and started to pile them up in a orderly fashion. It was not quite nightfall so it wasn’t time to light it at the present moment. He walked on down the slope to the river. There was a man sitting with his rod fly fishing. “Ere for the fishes eh” said the man. His armor was bronze and his helmet sword and shield lay next to him on the ground. “Here for the trout of the labor, only have this net though so I’ll see what I end up with”. “you’ll only catch shrimps or mackerel with that mate, good enough if you’re a possie, yer wanting your trout of the river, or salmon of the fresh, I gots some hear one gp and I’ll give ye a trout and a salmon”.

Omek thought to himself and decided he would try his own luck with the net he replied “I shall be trying the fruits of my own labor, winch my own snack you see”. Omek with skill tossed his net into the river and back and forth he went. “Names Drezkin” said he. “Omek, here for an adventure”. “Where do you hail me good man” “Karlea, land of the stink gumps”. “Must have cost you a fortune to teleport here, see why your fishing yer own snack”. “My house everything I was worth, but I needed a change from the normality of life”. “Yeah, I hear ye can’t be sitting on yer arse dreaming about tits”. Said Drezkin. Omek laughed “more like creaming on a ham hock”. They both laughed. “I’m starting to wonder about this place, the place has gone vile seems Zammy might be up to something, sky was red day afore yest and we had a blood moon. It happened at the early hours not many noticed it only lasted about six seconds but a sure as heck seen it” said Drezkin. Omek peered to the sky the moon was just showing it’s vacancy and the sun was starting to disappear. “There we go” said Omek. Omek caught a bunch of shrimps. “What are you doing out in the wild like this anyhow?” asked Drezkin. “I’m on my way to the abandoned house outside the cow farm, clear the goblins”. “You can’t do that alone mate there are many”. “I can try” replied Omek. “You can try, and die, then fly to the sky up to heaven and then sigh, then cry cause you’ve died, pardon my poor poetry” said Drezkin. “I’m in It for the money, how about you help and we’ll split it fifty, fifty”. Said Omek. “I’m in, now you gots a fire”. “Follow me” said Omek as he beckoned him. They walked five minutes back to the wood and faggots Omek had set up. With his tinderbox he lit the fire. They placed their fish on the fire. Drezkin spoke “Dealing with goblins won’t be easy, they have smartened up these days. They even have armor and spears. Last person I heard go into that house never came out, they musta made soup out em”. “

“I learned a few spells”. Said Omek “You know magic, good they hate that really scares em”. “So I say I charge in let of a few spells them you go in with the sword and shield and have them”. “Sounds like a plan” said Drezkin. “Hear I have this bottle of karamja rum, just in case it’s our last” They sank the rum. “Karlea is the land of the queer, and it’s the land of the spice boy”. “hail” shouted Drezkin. “It’s the land of the mince pie and the land of the moorewife” said Omek. “hail” said Drezkin. “Moorewife, the udder sucker” said he again. The night went on with songs and clatter they both slept next to the roaring fire. It was first light that awoke them. Drezkin gutted a salmon and spoke. “got these oatcakes from the ergo the sandwich lady” she seems to be selling in the most strangest of places”. Salmon and oatcakes was had for breakfast they needed the energy if they were to fight. They set off on foot towards the bridge. It started to rain. “Hail the tears of saradomin, for there is an omen afoot, when it rains here something aint quite right” said Drezkin. They walked and walked eventually getting to the bridge. They noticed at the southern side there was a guard patrol. Blocking anyone trying to go across. They overheard a guard speak to a merchant. “The road to Al Kharid is blocked you need to go via the Varrock and in through the western side the place is overrun with goblins. Omek walked across to the guard. “Are you dealing with these goblins?” he asked. The Guard looked ever so scared in his bronze helmet and iron chainbody. “Were waiting on reinforcements”. “That’s us, two men you see standing afore ye” said Drezkin. Omek drew his sword. “let’s have em”. The guards beated their chests. “For saradomin” they shouted as they charged the first goblin they seen looked confused it was trying to catch a trout with its hands but wasn’t succeeding.

It then took to notice that they were coming for it, it was slayed quickly. The next bunch were not so stupid. Their green faces looking gaunt and warty, their armor poorly made along with their spears. Omek with a mighty swipe of his sword beheaded one and the twenty guards went to war. There was fifty goblins they could see and they were dealt with leaving only five guards alive. Omek and Drezkin lived. Omek ran over to Drezkin who was lying flat on his back with a goblin on top of him Omek dealt with it and helped him back onto his feet. “Let’s go to that house” said Omek. “They ran through the woods to the house and peered through the window. They heard the goblins speak. “Stupid mens don’t know how to make chowd like a greenbeak, they use spuds and dunions” the next one spoke. “Last one in here left his dagger, it’s not a shiny one but me use it to put in in human”. Omek laughed and whispered. “Ok the plan?” “The plan!” said Drezkin. It was then when Omek kicked down the door. “Avanta molenka disenko” he incanted he let of a wind strike knocking all the goblins to the ground. Drezkin quickly finished them by stabbing them when they were knocked out on the ground. “You’re some mage mate” said Drezkin. “Seems I was taught well”. The guard came rushing in. “My names Garren and I want to thank you both what are your names. “Omek”, “Drezin” they both said. “Well I’ll be telling the duke of your heroics, please take these two horses as a token of my gratitude”. The horses looked well and strong. They both rode them back to the castle.

Back in Lumbridge all seemed to be normal. The smoke bellowed from the furnaces and there was a cue outside the general store. They trotted past all the folks and into the courtyard. “You returned and by the gods you made it safe for us, well done I say” said Hans. “You, you cattering codfish” said Drezkin. “Now Drezkin only because I beat you at dice doesn’t mean to say you treat me like that”. “This guy is a wizard at dice I say, a blimmin wizard” he replied as he demounted from his horse. Let me tie those up for you” said Hans. “Thank you Hans” said Omek. They walked on forth to the doors of the castle but they were still locked. The guards looked at Omek. “Omek, Drezkin?” he asked “you have the very fellas” said Drezkin. “Follow me” said the guard. The door clinked open and they went inside, the first thing that came across them was the smell of cakes being baked. They walked the long hall to the spiral staircase and went to the top. They followed the hall. As they walked the guard spoke “hefty you pair are, strong willed and determined, I commend you”. “Were the masters of will” said Omek. They followed on and into the council chamber they went. The duke was standing at his desk with his back turned to them peering into a book. “So you have brought me worthy adventurers this time Gorman”. “I think I have milord” “well good, now back to your patrol”. The duke turned around with a serious look on his face, his pointy moustache and his silk lined clothing made for him looking rather classy compared to most. “Now the last, adventurer that came my way at a serious time like this I was handing a shield too him. For your reward for slaying the goblins I give you each this. He walked over to the jewelry cabinet and opened it with a key. He reached in and grabbed two purple amulets. “Amulets of glory” he said. “Made from real dragonstone, and enchanted by Seridor. He handed them both to Omek and Drezkin. “These are worth more than I could ever imagine, I’m selling mine”

” said Drezkin. “At a time like this you need all the power you can get, for they make you stronger, much stronger”. Omek put his hands together in a preying fashion and thanked the duke. “For what is your name?” asked Omek. “I am Duke Horico and I call for a helping hand at a time of such”. “What seems to be the problem?” asked Omek. Horico stammerd before he spoke in fear. “For it is a darker day and it is upon us. Iban with some strange dark sorcery has seemed to make himself immortal from the days of the first age and he is trying to resurrect his father!” Drezkin gasped. “Does that mean another dark age for all?” “Yes it does Drezkin”. Omek started to pace around the room, he put his amulet of glory around his neck and felt brave. “For it is decadence that he seeks, an ill omen of such” said Omek. “Who is going to stop Iban” asked Drezkin. “My son. Sir Hargot, he is in deep training in magic at wizards tower he can’t be distracted. So I must ask of you both a favor. My son needs a new sword forged for fighting Iban. A powerful one that no adventurer has seen the likes of. I must ask you to go see our master smith Doric. He is north of Falador. He will know of such power, Make haste I sense another blood moon”. “What does the blood moon mean?” asked Omek. “It means that Iban is getting one step closer to resurrecting his father. God knows what evil magic he is conjuring or where about he may be. We have our best mages on the case of locating him. But at the moment it’s to no avail” said Horico. “We will make haste” said Omek. “To fire and will” said Drezkin.
