The following is a collection of texts written by the denizens of the fantastical continent of Engelain, both factual and fictitious. The works herein are composed of first hand accounts, historical pieces and purest fabrication, written across multiple time periods and detailing a series of different topics. Religious texts, private diaries, royal decrees, confidential letters, poems and sonnets and tavern songs, texts describing the past and texts written in the past, this is a broad selection of a myriad of interconnected pieces, containing individual prejudices, assumptions and biases. The aim of these tales is not to give you the full picture of Engelain, but to give you a vibrant one, and in that task I hope this thread is successful.

As of yet I am not accepting submissions, but once I've expanded upon some of the essential lore of the land then I will be allowing certain other roleplayers to post their own tales here if they so wish. Engelain is meant to be inclusive in its creation- that is, everyone who joins one of my roleplays has equal say in deciding the history of Engelain. So feel free to flex your writing muscles as it's very unlikely that I'll veto anything a contributor posts here.

Without further ado, let's get on with the thread!
