Chapter 19 – The Stage of the Apocalypse
The RCR soldiers were winning. Slowly, but surely, they were getting closer and closer to the tower. Ransar and Emmerai had pushed a large hole through the enemy line by themselves. Ransar would chop and duck, Emmerai fires over his shoulder, Ransar gets up and chops, then ducks, and Emmerai fires over his shoulder etcetera. They were now getting very close to the tower, and it begun to loom in all its might over his head. But suddenly, a large blue light lit up the sky. A sky blue ball of pure magic and matter formed just above the tower, with 9 stones moving out of the roof on ascending podiums. A tenth one, presumably that of Lady Askula’s, was already there. The ball began to slowly get bigger….the countdown had begun. The LOD soldiers began to disperse into the temples surrounding the tower.
Death Fire sat up, with great pain. He had a vicious **** down his chest, also clipping onto to his biceps. He groaned in agony as his vision stayed blurry. As it cleared, he could see the hordes of LOD troops retreating into their temples, awaiting their journey into the beyond. Death Fire knew that not praying at an altar would doom him. But he did not mind. He held his hands together and looked up. “A-almighty Zamorak, p-p-please forgive me..for..I have failed..you…” A tear rolled down his cheek as he law down amongst the bodies, next to Taylor. He drew his last breath. A man who had, very respectably for a LOD supporter, lived his life devotionally. He had simply been corrupted by greed. A man, who could have been great, finally laid to rest.
The RCR troops began to rest and recover. They were afraid. It was now up to the RCR Elites to save them. Ransar, Emmerai, Taran and Darklago boarded a Gnomecopter. Slowly but surely it flew over the silent battlefield, and over the temples and shrines. It came to rest next to a balcony about a quarter of the way up the tower. They jumped out and began to walk in, to face their enemy.
