“I’m determined it’s the latter.”
A round of applause erupted from the ranks. The one and a half million RCR troops had assembled. The officers would go forward with their own units * except for Kaitia, who, because of her injury, could not participate in close combat. She would co-ordinate the gnome copters. Armenk, the leader (Officially, anyway. Most seem to recognise Ransar as the head of the RCR.) would co-ordinate the archers and mages. Ransar, Emmerai, Taran, Darklago and Karenzi all moved forward to within 200 metres of the enemy, along with their battalions. The gnome copters hovered slightly behind.
Suddenly, someone broke from the ranks of the LOD troops. Lord Vular was a broken man – he was determined to cause as much pain as possible. He spotted Ransar talking to Taran and went straight for them. He threw a small dart and Taran dodged, but Ransar was too slow. Luckily, the dart deflected off his armour. As Vular charged in on a stunned Ransar to get the kill, an arrow sliced through the air and smashed him in the back. Blood trickled out of his mouth and he stumbled to the floor bleeding. Ransar smiled and picked up his spear, driving it into his dead body. Emmerai, the assassin, reloaded her bow and Ransar lifted his dragon longsword in the air. “FORWARD!”
Valicus began to run towards the front. He was with Kejii, and they were determined to do as much damage as possible. Kejii grinned. “Let’s go for that Karenzi guy. He looks easy. Hey, Val, I bet I could beat you in a ** Suddenly Valicus swept his legs away, pinned him to the ground and held his claws above his neck. “I told you, do NOT call me that. And you need to sort out your ego…its going to get you killed.” Kejii got back up. Embarrased, he turned to Valicus. “Well, are we going for him or what?” Valicus turned. “You can if you like. My men will help you. I’ve got something to end that has gone on for too long.” He looked across the small gorge, that was easily jumpable…..
