(continued from previous two posts) *annoyed*
Her parents, the leader who had been like her uncle, and all the other rogues who felt like family to her were killed, and she felt utterly lost and failed. She was dying when Rilect, a male elf around her age, found her curled up on the ground. Rilect had been trained to be an elf tracker, but was also well learned in combat, magic, herblore, and the history of the land. He snuck the unconscious girl into Lletya and tended to her wounds. They eventually became inseparable friends as they grew older. It began with Rilect understanding that she was still banned from those lands, and decided to travel with her. His knowledge was useful for getting around, and Soren accepted him somewhat reluctantly. She did*’t like him much at first with his kind and understanding personality, not to mention she was still grieving, but she realized that under it all he was hiding his true feelings, like herself, and had the same sort of dark thoughts as herself. As a result, she slowly began to open her heart to him. They began to venture further from the elf lands and explored Kandarin until they knew it like the back of their hands. Along the way Rilect had given her a rare phoenix necklace, as a small gift one time. It did*’t seem to mean much to him, but to Soren it was as important as her own life. She kept it with her always and never let it go. Unfortunately, their happiness did not last. Sometime during the great war they were ambushed by the LOD on Asgarnia lands. Rilect was captured by the Lords of Dominance. He told her to run, back to home in the elf lands, that he would find her again one day, and so that’s what she did, watching with a broken heart as they dragged her best friend away. She wandered for years, although they felt like days to an elf, as the war still raged. Her mind was a black-hole of sad, empty thoughts, and she felt like there was nothing left to live for.
