He took them three at a time. That was good; he was ahead of everybody. He then came to the first rope swing. He sighed, and ran, then jumped. For an instant he was in empty space, looking down at a pit of ferocious snakes.
Then he grabbed onto the rope and fell, feet first, onto the platform. He sighed with relief, and ran up to a innocent looking path. He knew better, however; there were two pressure pads rigged on the platform. Up above, two bags of rocks hung menacingly. He broke into a run and hit the pad, then jumped sideways just as the rocks came tumbling down. None of them hit. Then the next rope swing was there. He sighed and ran to it. He almost missed the hanging rope, but he grabbed the bottom knot of it and fell, gasping, onto the platform. The pillar was only two obstacles away; a slide and another rope swing. He went to the beginning of the slide, climbed up the rungs, and slid down the other side. Easy peas.
Then, for the last rope swing. Then the pillar. He took a running start, and all seemed well, until, right as he jumped, a single crossbow bolt hit his heel, throwing him off balance. So he jumped off-balance, and saw the lava coming closer and closer until...
.. A hand grabbed his shirt and threw him onto the platform. Swinging on the rope was Sigea, smiling at him.
"Thanks, Sigea," Talmyr said. She winked. Then for the last stretch. The two got ready, and began to run, shoving each other to try and get to it first. Sigea was about to get it when...
Talmyr jumped up, grabbed Sigea'* shirt with a foot, and threw her back. He managed to tear half of her shirt in the process. He then tagged the pillar. Instantly the pillar stopped emitting its green light. A scoreboard clicked.
TALMYR- 1
Sigea picked herself up, and sniffed. "All men are the same." Then she smashed Talmyr's mouth with a swinging kick.
