Baseball, I hate. Too boring. Especially when you're playing, and coach sticks you in the outfield. Soccer is boring to me as well. Probably because I'm a ref for it, and I have to stand there for an hour while it's either like volleyball with feet or a bunch of midgets who can't tie their shoes playing.
Now American Football, isn't all that much start stop, in the boring sense. The start stop is necessary. You need to reform your line, or your QB will get flatened. You need time to call up a play. And tv announcers make great use of that time. Watch a Steeler game, or better yet, get a group of friends and play. No second is wasted.
