Nice adds as always Aqua....seems the witches are playing some advanced (yet not as direct) version of "Armies of Gielenor"....

And I say "Bah" to zese new characterz...such power is given out at whim these days :P ....all shall fall before the reaper himself....a figure even "Death" would admire....

Looking forward to next adds as always...

Although this may not apply to your "Answering of Characters" post this thought has troubled me in the past via your stories...the question being:

How does the figure/character "Jas" fit into your story?

Your story has been extended far beyond most stories...almost to the point where one would have to creat a "legendarium" to accomplish the task of filling people in on the history of extended areas....imagination does not fail in you my friend... ;)

Me (yes, I do have to do this for the sake of my little event) :Hm, Jas, he might be a being from bygone days who now has little to do with Gielinor. He might be a being that, like the Empty Lord, is striving to return to his former glory. Or he might already be in the story disguised as a more mundane character. The only thing that is certain about Jas is that... I'M not telling you anything about him. "He appears in the Form of a Man with many Countenances; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one."

Name: Talaban Baron O'Than (Baron for short)

Age: He appears to be old, around sixty, but his actual age is actually 152.

Gender: Male (sorry for the stereotype, not as good with female)

Race: Half-orc, Half-elf

Appearance: He wears a wid-brim fedora that covers most of his white head. His skin is remarkably tan and wizened from being in the sun, but his eyes are cool with clarity and understanding. He has short-cropped hair with sideburns. However, he dislikes eating through hair so the sideburns end next to his mouth and he does not have a moustache or beard. His eyes are a forbidding gold; hunter's eyes, that allow him to see in the dark. He wears leather dragonhide armor that appears to be cowhide yet is not, with leggings that resemble a cowboy's but with metal implements lining the sides. Finally, he is quite tall but he likes to slouch and smiles quite nicely.

Alignment: Depends (see history). He likes fighting for Saradominists and Zamorakians due to their simplicity; Bandos and the Menaphite Pantheon too, when required. He dislikes mages, prefers priests and common fighters. In cases where Saradomin is fighting Zamorak, he chooses the losing side because there are more enemies to fight.

History: Born into an unforgiving society in Prifdinnas, Baron was later exiled for his orcish heritage: disowned by his parents and family. Had they known his potential power they would have known otherwise. Baron is called a negative-magic caster, meaning instead of using self-energies to cast spells he absorbs energies from everything and converts it into raw magic. This is a reason for his longevity. From a young age he worked with Nomads, from desert to high mountains, until he discovered an Oracle on one of them.

Although she did not teach him, he was fascinated by her foresight and wisdom; so trained on the mountains whilst serving her basic requirements.

Through self-teaching and wisdom taught, Baron grew to be a very disillusioned and powerful young man. His spells revolve around that of the elements, although he is a primary geomancer. This derives from his connection with the Oracle and with the nature that surrounded him during his self-teaching.

Since his departure, with the Oracle's blessing, he has gone to fight wars - mainly to save wasted lives, but occasionally to inflict destruction upon the battlefield.

At the same time as he is a calm person, he is also a brutal one; suffering from Dissociative Personality Disorder whenever a person kills in the name of Zaros, Amascut, or the Dragonkin. This reverts him into a murder mage. During this period, he go into a hyper mode and use forbidden magic such as blood spells, mind spells, and transmutation. His only transmutation ability in this period of time is converting the enemy's magic into a poisonous shroud of axid.

Ironically, it is his orc's side that is the calm and rational; and the elf side that makes him berserk and a sadist. Most of the time he is Baron, the rest of the time he is Thom, who can be characterised by his indigo eyes and slavering mouth.

Weapons:
As Baron; other than being able to breathe in water and underground...
-Concentrated Air Gauntlets: forming air around his fist and trails to disorient and incapacitate enemy.
-Flare: forms a glowing ball of energy that can light the way without igniting cavern gas.
-Ice Shards: freezes water molecules in air and firing them at high speeds to pin down or injure enemy.
-Earth Trap: usually melding the earth to partially swallow enemy up, trapping them and holding them still.
-Earth Gauntlet: signature move; summons wall of earth to block an attack, melds his arms into the two pillars and uses them as a weapon.
-Turn Spell: using a dancing motion, Baron can fire the spell back with its original inertia and power.
-Power Boost: enhances the effects of normal spells within proximity.

@TorqiseKnife: Yes, an Eternal Witch could kill death, essentially granting everyone immortality in the process. In a different vein all together, an Eternal Witch could utterly destroy someone, not just killing them, but eliminating his or her soul as well so they couldn't enter the afterlife.

About them being "witches", the term originally was gender neutral and only fairly recently (last 150 years or so) has been associated exclusively with women. The word itself used to refer to a person who showed uncommon wisdom and skill, regardless of supposed magical ability or lack thereof. Incidentally, the modern day exclusively male equivalent for witch would actually be wizard (originally, there were actually supposed to be minor differences between witches and wizards entirely unrelated with gender.) As for warlocks, the word itself comes from the Old English term waer-loga (oath-breaker) and is exclusively applied to a practitioner of the dark arts.

@Zrdh: Approved.

@JamesSpatter: Welcome, always nice to have new readers. I do hope you continue to enjoy the story.
