With a swift movement, Joppi ushered Letters out of the room and slammed the door shut. "Anyway," he said as he turned, "we'll need to be teaching you about all the different types of places that exist, considering you're new."
Letters nodded in agreement and then began to walk down the side of the large white room. He glanced up at a door labeled "The Mole" and then asked, "What's this room?" Confused, he grabbed the handle and tried to open the door, but it was locked for some odd reason
"No one knows," Joppi replied, shrugging. "A few separate areas have been explicitly made off-limits to everyone except for the select few items Genzen actually likes. Y'know, pictures of Genzen, items that belong to Genzen, Genzen's kittens; he likes kittens. Like, really likes them." Joppi paused.
"Ha. A real fanatic, huh?"
"He has an entire room dedicated to his momument of kittens. Some say it is crafed out of several hundred dead kittens; others say it is made out of lost forumers. I heard he once killed a guy for insulting them!"
Letters took a step back. "Oh, wow..."
Joppi nodded before saying, "Anyway, the rooms that are locked to us 'common folk,' as Genzen calls us, are the Invitation Room, that door you just attempted, some help areas, the Arena, and... I think that's it."
A small face of confusion came across the face of Letters as he inquired, "Why are the help areas locked? I mean, wouldn't that leave more spare time to do things by yourself? I could probably learn a lot from them..."
"Aside from the fact that nothing exciting ever happens here," Joppi began, "Genzen told me that the newcomers are fairly illiterate and need an insane amount of guidance to understand the place. I mean, he left one help room open to show you guys what it looks like, but he doesn't actually care that much, I think."
"Quite a few shots at your superior, eh, Joppi?" Letters asked with a wink and a nudge.
