~! Chapter 13: One !~
The next time I opened my eyes, everything looked different. The ground now looked like it was all in one piece. The sky was now its normal blue color and it stayed only in the background as it let the clouds pass by slowly. The trees were swaying back and forth and the birds were chirping a lullaby in unison. The grass, much like the trees, was swaying back and forth as shadows cascaded along the landscape, floating peacefully above; there be no weight, no burden.
I ran forward to see the spectacles of human life. After running a couple yards, I saw a village that was hidden deep within the trees. They were all resuming their normal life, like absolutely nothing had happened. It bewildered me because the entire planet was about a second from exploding, and the story has not even been told.
“I wonder how long it will take for this story to be in the literature of the gods,” Guthix said, interrupting my thought process. “Usually such a story will be told by the gods; or that’* what they say. Surprisingly, the high priests are pretty accurate, even though we say nothing.”
“You’re kidding me,” I said, shocked. “How can the high priests pinpoint this type of data with such accuracy?”
“I always wondered that myself. Then again, the high priests were always born in that job, not placed there. The only high priest placed was the first one, and, at least for my followers, that was chosen by me. That’s the only time I let my voice out. That was a couple hundred years ago, but still; that was the case.
“Very odd,” I said, puzzled greatly. “Now how did the planet return to normal after fixing up the core? I mean, I understand that the planet won’t blow up, but wouldn’* it take more time to reconfigure itself? I mean, I know it’s a planet, but that doesn’t happen.”

“I can’t believe you haven’t figured it out yet,” Guthix said with shock. “I thought you of all people, with your superior insight, would be able to figure it out.”
“What do you mean?” Seren yelled, interrupting our conversation. “You have some secret you’re hiding. What is it?” She gave him that stern look, coming closer and closer to him. “Well? You going to tell?”
“What is it?” Sarah said in a mumbled tone. It was to be expected from her to barely be able to hear what was coming out of her mouth. She was so saddened by the two deaths that she couldn’t stop crying and she couldn’t move.
“Did you know that this entire thing was reverted back to normal?” Guthix revealed. “It was just a game.”
“What!” we all exclaimed, completely losing it. Seren just stomped her foot on the ground, making a four inch deep hole. Sarah still could barely move since she was just in total shock. I, on the other hand, took Guthix by the collar of his shirt and slammed him to the closest tree. It practically almost fell, were it not for Guthix using some of his magic to keep it in the ground.
“You thought it was just a game?” I yelled, practically spitting in his face. “What kind of problem do you have? We all risked our lives! Saradomin and Zamorak are dead! And what about Zaros and Iban? They might come to wreck further havoc upon us. And you just sit there saying that this is a game?” I then threw him over and punched him down to the ground.
Guthix got up slowly and wobbly. He spit a little blood on to the clean green grass and then cracked his neck, which made about four pops. Seren closed her eyes, disgusted. Seems she can handle blood, but not the cracking of the human body. He slowly walked over to me with a stern look on his fist. I brought my fists up, but he brought his hand down, signaling me to stop. He was not going to fight.

“I don’t think you get it,” Guthix said, stopping after a few paces. “I was so sick of Saradomin and Zamorak fighting all the bloody time. I mean, the eternal sleep I want was never going to be accomplished at the rate those two were fighting. It was all the time and the reason the planet never collapsed was because I was half-awake, tending to its every wound. After a while, I was completely sick of it! I told myself the next time that they fight, that I’d place this little game so that they’d have to work together and realize that they both have powers that are significant towards the survival of this planet. You are the son of Zamorak and Sarah is the daughter of Saradomin, but yet you two never knew about it. It*s now come to you and them because I made it that way. You see what I mean? I never meant to hurt anyone.”
“Never meant to hurt anyone?” I asked, swiftly pushing Guthix in to another tree. “What are you talking about?”
“Stop it!” Sarah screamed, her tears propelling off her face and on to the grass. “Zamak, what the hell are you doing? Let him explain before tearing his head off. For all we know, our parents could be alive, so let him go!”
“She has a point,” Seren said, nodding her head as she stood there, her arms crossed. *Let him go and let him speak. Who knows what’s going on with him, though I’m both confused and disgusted about it.”
“Alright,” I said, letting Guthix go. He wobbled, coughing in a very rough manner. “Now tell me what’s going on.”
After Guthix re-gained himself, he looked, smiled, and said, “Zamorak and Saradomin are alive, just like Sarah said. Her ability to figure out things in tough situations is impressive. That would be useful later. But, like I said, they’re alive.”
“How do I know you’re not lying?” I growled, flames appearing around me. “I wouldn’t joke if I were you. Prove it!”

“He doesn’t need to,” Zamorak and Saradomin said together, floating down. “Miss us?”
“Dad!” Sarah and I both yelled and ran to our respective dads.
“How did you live?” I asked.
“Yeah, how did you?” Sarah asked.
“Neither of us knows that,” Saradomin said. “Really, what Guthix had told you is the answer that you need. Now I would like to go home now. This has been a long adventure. Do you feel the same, brother?” For the first time, referencing his brother made Saradomin smile.
“I’m with you, Saradomin. You ready, Zamak?”
“You read, Sarah?”
Sarah and I looked at each other as one tear streaked down my cheek. The same happened to her, and we both ran to each other, holding hands, while looking at our fathers.
“No,” I said. “I want to be with Sarah.”
“And I’m in love with Zamak, so I agree with him. Can we find a place together?”
“What do you think, Saradomin?” Zamorak asked. “Should we accept the fact that our kids are grown and let them go?”
“It’s a bit odd, seeing that we’re brothers, but if that’* what they want, we should let them be happy in their way,” Saradomin said with pride.
“Oh thank you!” Sarah screamed, breaking from me and running like a bullet straight in to Saradomin’* gut.
Saradomin grunted in pain, but tried not to let it show. “Don’t worry about it. Now you guys get out of here,” he said with a smile. He then turned to Guthix. “As for you, my new friend, don’t you have somewhere you need to be going?”
“What?” Guthix said with a very bewildered look on his face. Sarah and I decided to stay until they all were situated. *I don’t get what you’re talking about. I have somewhere to—”
“Sleep, Guthix. Just sleep,” he said, closing his eyes, and putting a light blue vortex around Guthix. The energy was not rough, but was very soothing and relaxing. In a moment, Guthix was gone.
“Where’d he go?” I asked.

“I sent him back to where he rests eternally,” Saradomin said. “He won’t be saying things for a long time. Zamorak and I owe so much that this was the least I could do. And now I’ll be leaving.” And with one final smile, a swirl of celestial blue-white energy surrounded him and in seconds, he was gone.
“I too must take my leave,” Zamorak said. With a somewhat sinister smile, hellish red energy surrounded him. And in a few seconds, just like Saradomin, he was also gone.
“Well, now what should we do,” Sarah said innocently. I looked at her strangely. She was trying to be innocent, yet I knew she was trying to have us go further in our relationship.
“You should know already,” I said with a smile.
And with those words, our energies fused together, and we disappeared from the surface of Gielinor. Where will our path take us? We don’t even know.

Just check my short story thread, Mitch's Shorts, if you want to see anything else by me. I won't add on there a lot, but when I'm in a writing mood, you'll see something. As for a full length story, you saw how lazy I got. I don't want to have people wait so long ever again.
