Check the next post for 'tips' for all the quests I did (which can be viewed on the front, post 6). I'm just going to give suggestions and issues I had that way hopefully it will help out a bit if you still need to do them.

I use a quest guide every time, always RuneHQ. I spam click thru the dialogue because 1) I don't have time and 2) I don't care. So when you read through these comments, just know I also had the aid of a guide.

Regicide -

Quest annoyed me with the traps and everything.

ACTIVATE THE ELF LODESTONE ASAP.

Also, when you have to go thru the underground pass to get to the elven lands

there was a part where you had to use a rope to jump a gap.

The peg that you had to attach it to was only visible on the opposite side and ofc when you tried to use the rope with it, it said "I CANT REACH THAT". After looking around,

apparently the graphic update moved the hotspot on the side you're on so just click around on the ground and you'll find it that way.

Rolving Elves

- Easy, took me like 5 minutes.

Morning's End Part I

- Quest was alright.

Had some issues mainly with the gnome and sheep.

After I was done 'torturing' the gnome, he took my stuff and disappeared to fix the device. He never came back (i waited like 10 mins).

If you wait longer than a couple of minutes...go up the trapdoor and come down again and he will be there.

Also just talk to him a second time if he won't give you the weapon.

As for the sheep, I was using my customized layout and was missing them even though the bazooka was aimed at them

(aka they should have been hit..). Apparently for some you need to

switch to the RS3 default (esc > select preset > Rs3 default)

. After I switched to this, I hit them fine. I don't know why this would be but I would just switch to it once you get to the part to save time.

Mourning's End Part II

- This quest was the goddamn devil. Worst quest I have ever completed and I have friends who have completed ALL and have said the same thing.

I RECOMMEND USING A VIDEO GUIDE FOR THE MIRROR PART

. I just typed 'Mourning's End Part II" into YT and followed that first one (was from like 2 yrs ago). Anyways, the most annoying damn thing is the shades, so

bring a weapon

. I didn't until the very end, I don't know why tbh but killing them will probably make your life much easier.

I also suggest watching one part at a time and writing down the steps. I stood by the lever (safe spot) and watched the YTer complete it until he had to reset each time.

As I was watching I was making note of where to place the mirrors and which direction each should go on a piece of paper.

So for example -

S, N, E, E, down the stairs, W, N, up the ladder, blah blah blah. This helped me a lot. Also, doing this allows your HP to go up some on its own.

JUST USE A VIDEO GUIDE FOR THIS QUEST BOTTOM LINE!!

Within the Light -

Not a bad quest at all. The mirror puzzles were much easier, the only one that gave me a bit of trouble was the last one. Just have to go thru the motions of trial & error. You don't need a video guide for this really, plus the paths for each player are different.

Also, when you go into the temple, the elf guy follows you and kills the shades for you hehe

- Easy quests, didn't take long at all. NO issues.

PLAGUE'S END

- This quest was really easy until the boss fight.

Highly recommend switching to lunar spellbook in order to use the spell to talk to NPCs (for the crystal recharge)

as this will save you loads of time. JUST DON'T FORGET TO SWITCH BACK BEFORE THE DARK LORD FIGHT LOL.

As for the actual fight, it wasn't that bad. Every time you finish a puzzle, shadows will attack you and once you complete puzzle 3 the dark lord tries to kill you each time you complete the puzzle.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING MAGIC BECAUSE YOU'RE RUNNING ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE CAUSE YOU HAVE TO DODGE HIS 'SPECIAL ATTACK'

. The guides even suggest this and to use your strongest fire spell which I did. I feel like using melee would be 10x more a pain in the ass but it's up to you.Also, this is probably a 'NO DUH' comment for you all but please use protect from mage...it helps a lot. The first couple I didn't lol (i don't boss at all).

ALSOO, if you leave to bank or whatever during the middle of the fight or even after, you will have to kill him from the previous stage again.

Yes, I had to do this to restock on food 2 times I think. If you're low on food after puzzle 7, don't worry you don't have to fight him again.

COMPLETING PUZZLE 7 + BOSS = NO MORE FIGHTS

. I didn't fully read the guide (derp) and ended up tele'ing after #7 because I thought I would have to fight him again, nope.

Lastly, the puzzles aren't bad, just follow the guides. Rather than doing it all in one go, you could do a little at a time and 'test' it to see your mistakes. Might make it easier, idk.

ALL IN ALL,

this quest was my first grandmaster quest and was overall pretty easy. I didn't really like the boss fight as I'm not used to bosses or combat really but if I can do it so can you. And most of you will probably think it's super easy. FFFF that special attack though

First off, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on completing all the necessary quests for Elf City!!! Wooots!!! You won't need to quest again for awhile!!! I plan to do the last 3 quests (MEP2, Within the Light, and Plague's End) tomorrow. So not looking forward to MEP2. I just watched the video you recommended and wrote down notes for doing MEP2.... ugh, the quest is sooo long anyhow, wish me luck. This is NOT gonna be fun -.-

Thanks!! Yeah, I won't be doing any quests for quite some time even though I still need to do some "essentials". Btw, congrats to you on completing those two quests as well as getting 99 fm!! I'm glad I was able to make it this time. And don't worry about Plagues End, I'm sure you will find the boss fight pretty easy! Gl!

No problem!! School definitely comes first although that really stinks about your computer...hopefully you can get it fixed soon. And yes, I really don't like quests at all lol but I'm glad I got Plagues End out of the way. And yeah closing in on 85 dung, will definitely be nice whenever I get that

So now that I'm done with quests (for now) I am back to my original goal of 80+ skills. Currently I am training my Thieving via Pyramid Plunder. I don't necessarily like this skill or minigame so I'll be glad when this is over. Over the past couple of days I've achieved:

-65-69 Thieving
-86 Mining
-72 Farming
-82 Dungoneering

Hopefully I'll be able to wrap this goal soon and thank you to all of those who have continually checked in!!
