Double XP 99 Dilemma

Hello everyone,

First time posting on the forums ! I recently returned after a couple years away from the game and have decided to come back with a purpose. I have achieved 99s before on old school as well as on RS3. However coming back I started a new account and noticed that double xp was coming up again. My question is which 99 would be faster to possibly achieve during the double xp. Fishing or Woodcutting? I currently have 50 woodcutting and 60 fishing. With about 200k worth of bonus xp in both skills. I have already gotten firemaking and cooking on past characters and wanted to go for a gathering skill this time around

Between those two skills, I'd go with Fishing.

Since your Fishing is already at a higher level than your Woodcutting, you'll earn more XP by completing Daily Challenges in Fishing.

Also, if you've completed the Beneath Cursed Tides quest you may fish at the underwater fishing spot once a month for a nice chunk of quick and easy Fishing XP.

During this extra-long DXP Live event, there should be plenty of time for you to work on both skills, though. Working on just one skill can get boring after a while. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Fishing the much more useful of the two for sure. But the earthy colour scheme of the woodcutting cape is pretty sweet... don't be shy going for both ;)
