Hi there :)

3 years ago I discovered the Yak Track on my main after a few years break, with a friend.

We had some fun doing a race for who would finish it first on new accounts, with the constraint of not using the GE with some exceptions :
* Buying feathers for fletching
* Buying pure essences
* Buying cosmic runes for enchanting
* Selling the production for profits
* Buying rares and cosmetic for the FashionScape.
Of course, no interaction allowed betwen our main accounts and these new alts.
So any crafting task would require us to first collect the material.

Long story short, I liked this challenge and kinda regretted not creating an ironman but my stats were too decent in the end for me to leave this account (90+ mining, 80+ smithing, etc.), and I decided to keep playing like this.
So far, my only use of the GE has been for feathers, some discontinued rare items and some pure essences for my runecrafting urns.

I took another long break and recently got back, and I felt like keeping on levelling this account when I'm bored on the main.

So I want to share my progression and long-term goals here, for myself and whoever interested by this sort of things :)

Then making money for the discontinued items.

For any curious mind wondering about my course of actions :

Since I started this account on a Yak Track event, in the context of a race, I focused on low-concentration skills, and especially the mining and smithing, and crafting.

For any combat tasks, I'd do them while training dungeoneering.

I had various income source from early tasks with crafting and smithing, and enchanting emerald jewelry made from scratch.

When the Yak Track ended I already had a nice total wealth (can't remember exactly how much).

I quickly reached the requirements for rune bars and the smithing of rune bolts, which I grinded (even after the track) for a while to get around 600k bolts.
I bought some feathers from the shops throughout the days and eventually at the GE, and reached 92+ fletching, and sold my finished bolts for a great margin.

My last buy at the GE was a golden party hat that since lost 60M in value.

I'm occasionnally working on smithing bolts again, with 150k made so far. 450k left for 99 fletching, for which I have enough rune bars.

But currently, my goal is 99 runecrafting, which I've done a monstruous progress on, reaching 96 today at the runespan.

I levelled crafting during the Track, with daily challenges and the dragon hides I got from my dragon bones farming. I also had a lot of gemstones from my geodes, and mined some more at Al-Kharid.

Fishing has been mostly trained in dungeroneering, and for cooking tasks at the time, but I'll switch to salmon / trout when I'll focus again on it.

Woodcutting and firemaking during the Yak Track and at Draynor's willows.

As if fate wanted me to come back onto this game now, I'm delighted to see a new Yak Track.
I will try and focus on my lower skills for this one, such as fishing, woodcutting and dungeroneering. See you at the end of the track :)
