¤ The reporting template
If someone on your thread breaks the Forum Rules, they can be reported at the ''I Need A Mod!'' sticky in the General Forum (QFC: 14-15-263-57826482). You may want to put a reporting template in your thread, which players can copy/paste to report someone breaking the rules on your thread fast.
For example:
Quick find code: (Quick find code of your thread)
Thread title: (Title of your thread)
Page number in thread: (Let this one open)
Name of offender: (Let this one open)
Type of offence: (Let this one open)

CHAPTER FIVE – PHASES
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Do you have so many goals that you don’t know what to go for first? Do you start a goal then change your mind the first day in?
I would like to mention a few phases I went through when working on my logs
1) BOREDOM
* Man this is so boring. Why did I decide to do this?
2) THE CALLING
* Hmm what is quicker cash then this?
3) THE GROOVE
* Why did I ever hate this skill in the first place*lol*. You get into the routine.
4) THE TUNNEL
* Will it ever end? Is that light I see?
You generally stop being bored after a day or two but the calling and the tunnel can happen more than once. Be aware these phases do pass:
QUOTE: "Don't let go of your dreams. If you have determination and belief in your dreams, you will succeed in spite of your desire to let go." (Catherine Puls**er)
There will be times when you are so overwhelmed that you feel like the end isn't in sight and all you'll think about is how far you still have to go. Don't be discouraged look and see how far you've come.

ACHIEVERS TIPS & STRATEGIES
##############################
# Annoegnoe's Tips #
1. Make sure you have a proper lay-out, this makes your thread much more fun to read!
2. Do not break any forum rules (which can be found in the Code of Conduct). If you do break any rules, you may find your posts hidden, and/or your thread locked by a Forum Moderator.
3. Make your thread fun to read. Ask yourself if you would like to read your own thread. If your thread is fun to read, players will be more eager to post!
4. Do not beg for support! Of course you can ask properly for support, but don’t make it begging!
5. Write a personal answer to each of your supporter. If you have more than one people who supported, do not just post ‘Thanks’, but write something personal for everyone who posted. This way people will be more eager to come back and post again!
6. Don’t bump your thread too often by posting 'Bump'. It's more preferable to use the bumpbutton, as posting may make people think you're spamming.
7. Try to use the best grammar and spelling you can. Don’t use l337 or CAPS LOCK. If english is not your main language, you can ask people to post if they see any grammar or spelling mistakes.
8. Don’t be afraid to post if your english isn’t too good! My english has improved so much since I started to use the forums! The G&A forums have a friendly atmosphere and there will always be someone around to help you!
9. Don’t neglect your thread. Visit it atleast once a day to update it and to thank your supporters. If you’re not posting on your thread every now and then, people may think you have given up on your goal!
10. Don’t be dissapointed if you don’t get support immediately! Give it some time, and keep bumping your thread via the Bumpbutton. Posting friendly and encouraging words on other people’s thread may also make the to post something back on your thread!
11. Be sure to make some reserves before anyone posts, you'll need them.

# Accepted3's Tip #
If you have a huge goal that will take you a while to complete, set a subgoal or a daily goal. Setting a daily goal will give you a motivation as well as leave part of your day open for something else if you need a break while still moving ahead in your goal.
------
# Barex*'s Tips #
Right Well first of all, don't just go and make a thread without really thinking about what you want. Think it all over carefully, thinking what you'll do first and how you'll do it. Try writing it all down on some paper so you don't forget any good idea'* for the thread. Right now how to structure it, If it's a fairly big thread, don't try and cram it into however many posts too much. Every section for a differnt post, so Intro, Your progress, Special Thanks, Support, Reserves etc.
Use Good grammar if possible. Alot of the time it get's annoying when you see something that you can hardly read becuse they've used bad grammar and shortened words. I have nothing against this but I believe on forums it looks much nicer. It's much nicer to read when you use nice grammar .
Make it look good and attractive! Put little designs if you want such as "=~> Contents <~=" or "~^v^v^~ Supporters ~^v^v^~", it makes it look alot better.
For a title try and make it look attractive (Don't use capital letters all through this just looks bad). Maybe make it catch with a joke or something. Try working with your name, Me myself I can't do it but some people can. another option is to make it very vague so people are going to want to look into the thread to just see what the title means. Before you make yours study other peoples threads and how they've done it.

# Billw87s Tip #
Break your goal up into more easily managed sections! When I was going for a purple party hat without merchanting, I made a money meter to keep track of my progress, and I made the subdivisions on the meter every 5 mil. I could have made a much smaller meter by making the divisions 10 mil apart or more, but I liked being able to add another notch to the meter every week or two.
If you're going for a 99, make an XP meter instead of a level meter, that way you can really get a sense of the fact that you're still making progress even as the levels get more spaced apart. Being able to put up another notch every few days really helps fight the frustration of long goals!
-------
# Captin Fight's Tips #
1) When you're trying to pick a goal to post about in this forum make sure it's something you'll stick to. You don't want to start a goal and a quarter of the way to half way through you're like: "I'm bored, I don't want to do this anymore." You should pick a goal you will stick with to the end. Also you shouldn't pick a goal that's outrageous like: "I'm going to make 999999Bil in a DAY!" Obviously this is impossible so don't do something like this
2) If you're getting kind of bored or you're thinking this goal is impossible, then get those thoughts out of your head! If you start to feel like this then take a little break, they don't hurt just make sure you get back to your goal when you feel motivated again.
3) When you're making a thread make sure you have an idea of what you're going to do and the amount of posts you need. Although don't let this hold you back, take as many reserves as needed even some extras if you think of something later . A good Idea I've seen and used would be to type a rough outline (or what you're going to put in your actual thread) in Microsoft Word or something so you can copy and paste or just have an idea.

# Daniel3160's Tip #
I was soo bored trying to get 70 mining so i went to the granite mine in the desert with no food, money or water.
The only way i'm leaving the desert ( except fixing my pick ) is with 70 mining!

# Eagleking12's Tips #
When I got great things that were hard for me, I got into a routine. I spent a week just ranging ogres, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, because I didn't kill myself doing it. I took small steps, and it paid off.
Take breaks every now and then. I play for about an hour, go and watch some TV, shoot some hoops, the come back and play again. Never give up. Set realistic goals, don't think you'll get 99 in a skill or 200 million exp in a day. It takes time, patience, and determination.
-------
# Lethalkiler9's Tip #
Choose something that doesn't get you bored easily. For instance, for me WoodCutting is a very boring skill, but Merchanting is never boring for me. Therefore, when trying to reach an item goal, I would choose Merchanting.
But that's just me.
*Note: Skill goals are different. Just because Wc is boring for you, doesn't mean you shouldn't make a goal about it.*
-------
# Mountain208's Tip #
When your going after a goal. Dont just do it half heartedly go after it and dont stop until you complete it. When you get bored dont think about something else. Maybe take a break from runescape then when you come back you will be fully ready to charge at that goal once again.
-------
# Musicman 7's Tip #
One other very small thing is, I can't stand those corny titles that say things like "99 everything. Wait, what?" You have no idea how much these titles bug me. It often is what makes me not read a thread. So make your titles interesting, but don't make them so corny, and really, don't use question marks.

# Sindri Pitt's Tips #
If you're bored on a skill take a break maybe to work on another skill, for example I was working on 80 thief, when I got to 75 I was so bored off it I decided to do some construction then I got back to thieving and wasn't as bored
Also if you're doing a skill you really don't like and want to quit it immidiately, do it with another skill, like I hated thieving&mining once and they were both lvl 60'* and I was aiming for lvl 65, and I got 61 thieving, then 61 mining and so on. It really helped me

When you want a level, play agressively. Focus on getting that level, and think of the rewards. Also, HAVE FUN AND KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE! The rewards are greater than you expect, so never give up.

# Vaduhhatuh's Tips #
1) Set a timetable (if it is possible).
For example, I am going for 99 Firemaking. I plan to burn 1k+ logs for the next 90 days to get my goal. It is not too stressful, it is feasable, as well as it gives me an idea as to when I will be finished.
In this way, I have a goal to reach daily, that will get me to my ultimate goal before I know it.
2) The best way to keep you going on a goal, especially for me, is to find something to surprise you every day or week.
For example, I make money using Miscellania. Every week, I can collect my earnings from it, and have a nice surprise waiting for me.
Lastly, along with something fun for you, try to keep it from being monotonus.
----
# Z3 rk er's Tip #
I've found, contrary to other people, that doing another skill, can distract you from completing your goal(s).
For Example(This particular time, it was a game update that distracted me) : On my other account, I was going for 99 firemaking, then the PvP worlds came out and completely distracted me. I eventually just sold the logs for PvP gear, and stopped at 70 Firemaking.
So, my advice is try to concentrate ONLY on the skill you are training and try not to get distracted by anything.

Just a handy tip: Try using the *new* tools from stealing creation, they can really help you to get that levels faster, also if you get bored of your goal and need a break stealing creation is a great way to spend your time.

# My Wiz In Me's Tip #
Never set a goal too high; just take it step by step.
----
# Ggoldenbug's Tip #
I noticed one tip telling people not to take breaks from their goals. I find it much easier to take a break go slaying or gwd or even to Stealing Creations while my goal is on hold.
It has never distracted me from my goals just gives me a nice break from doing the same thing every day.
----
# Earl Robin H's Tip #
Set yourself a certain amount of xp to do per day or an amount of items to collect/cut/fish etc. For example, woodcut 500 yews each day, then do what you want for the rest, or if you are enjoying it, continue, but as a bare minimum, do 500 each day.
