Im currently smithing as well (only up to 70 tho lol) and even 6500 iron ores to knives is boooorrrriiinnng me so much.
Votes:
Smelting: Edgeville with Varrock armour (chance of smithing two in the time you usually do one!!)
Smithing: Varrock West with Varrock armour (it's close plus you get a chance of smithing extra fast with the armour!!)

I agree, smithing is very fast in Edgeville with the Varrock armour. The Varrock armour rocks for mining too, by the way!
