This is utterly ridiculous! Wiki says 1/256. I call monkey muffins. I've been at it for hours, no clue and yes i am clicking the monkey diagloue. This is extremely click intensive because we have to right click the banana then the monkey then the space bar every time. I have several painful medical issues that's making this even worse. WTF JAGEX!!

This is either broke or I just have terrible luck. First off I got the monkey got out of the cage and teleport to Karamja with amulet of glory (c) and the monkey disappears in a puff of smoke. I figure it is due to it being Karamja so I go get another and teleport to GE with luck of the dwarves ring. Again disappears. I buy 200 bananas at GE while there and go get another. I have lorehound out with Lorehound perk supposedly increasing the drop rate. I went through 200 bananas clicking the dialog, no luck. Run all the way from ardy to GE buy another 800 bananas and gone through 300 more already. I am ready to go into the monkey cage and load my dwarf cannon with bananas and fire them at these monkeys until they submit LOL

After reading back in the original quest that I did many years ago it says you can't teleport with it so that part isn't broke but the rest seems to be

I should also note I did destroy a few medium clues to get under the cap

I also just watched an old video of someone who started this at 10:50 before the clue scroll rework and the Lorehound and got the clue scroll at 11:18. I have now been at it for over 3 hours and 700 bananas They also were not clicking the dialog box just feeding bananas

Finally got this achievement after feeding monkey around 1,000 bananas.
I think Wiki needs updating.
It was not until approximately 750 bananas fed before the monkey stopped its normal dialogue and only responded to being fed, and then is when I think the 1/256 chance kicks in, as i got the clue scroll about 200 bananas later with the Lorehound and Helper perk.

still no clue, got through so many bananas.. they should have it where you can click on monkey in backpack and will auto feed a banana from backpack as long as you have a banana in the backpack.. grr this right clicking. annoying, especially going through so many bananas already and get still no Clue.

my hand is on fire. this is insane. no it is not 256, I am well beyond that. I do have one helper to disperse...hold the space bar down and you don't have to keep clicking it. I still don't have the clue. I had to go and use up a few just to get well under 25. I am on my third monkey. I accidently used the money and it went poof. So over this achievement. So many more fun ones await. This might be one I don't complete.
