Goodluck with Desert treasure, HP. Most important thing about the fight is not to drink too much before you start, the toilet is your worst enemy in that 2 hour fight xD
And Wow, I just got my first ever left shield half from a Fire giant! never had one before in my 8 years of playing !

Yeh, almost all creatures have a chance to drop the half shield, yet in 10's of thousands of monster kills this is the first one I recieved :p It's a shame that it's only 65K though, something as rare as that should have a much higher value in my oppinion.

Hey V A, impressive account. I am also a 10 HP pure with 99 prayer currently, and have been considering getting 99 slayer as well. Do you have any tips as I'm 15 combat?
Should I begin training magic to level me to 40+ combat and use Vannaka as a slayer master?

I personally started off training Ranged at the Terrorbird pen in Gnome Stronghold, and after I got 40 Ranged used the Ranged guild mini-game to get me up to 60 Ranged. At low level the cannon hits really inaccurate and Slayer will be really slow.
Tasks from Vannaka got me to around 65 Slayer, which took quite long in my oppinion. I now use Duradel as a Slayer master, he gives really good, cannon-able tasks, only downside is you'll need 110 Combat.
A friend of mine called "Lil Ic3 cube" is also going for 99, but he uses the Fairy Slayer master from Zanaris, which also seems to be working fine for him. You might consider going for Combat 70+, which shouldn't be impossible.
But that's just what I'd consider doing, it's of course possible to get 99 Slayer from Vannaka's tasks alone (like Ellebreyals did this a few years ago)

Oh, and on a side-note: If you ever want to get 99 Summoning, get 1500 Total Level first, and Cannon Greater demons in the Forinithy dungeon. You'll be so low leveled that no1 in the 1500+ world will be able to attack you, and it's by far the quickest Charms and Ranged xp you can get as a 10 Hitpoints pure. (during the 3 months I spend there at around Combat 60 I haven't seen a single person that could attack me, so trust me when I say it's worth it) (I don't want to scare you off by saying 3 months, I didn't play that much a day during that time)
If you get 99 Summoning first, you'll also be 99 Ranged, which should really help with your tasks and a Yak is also really usefull if you want to make some of the money you lose from Cannonballs back with the ability to use Winter Storage scrolls.
