So sorry that I haven't been on. I've just been so busy and trying to enjoy my summer as well. I'm hoping to get back into the game, but it's just one of those phases that everyone has.
I just logged in to take a look and meh... Way too much lag and just too much clutter. Sure you can customize the UI; however, there are still some flaws that need to be fixed.
Not sure if I want to cancel my membership all together or play Old School RS.
It's not an ideal scenario right now for sure. For lack of a better term it's almost like a sort of mass hysteria effect via pixels, with people hearing what others dislike about it and suddenly deciding they do too; of course that can happen with any update, but particularly with one like this which is unavoidable for anyone who isn't in favour of it. On the other side there are the people who really love it, being somewhat elitist in being able to utilise the update how they wish. Of course there are people in between.
It's a shame they released it knowing they had so many bugs that would effect people, and indeed plenty more have been found. Bugs are understandable with any update but how they've handled this is abysmal frankly. However, it could be worth giving it a couple of weeks to see how it is then. Granted, it's a shame that so many updates nowadays require weeks, if not months, to become close to a decent standard, let alone the time taken for a finished product. Or perhaps you'll enjoy the new skill coming up in a couple of months.
Hope you're enjoying the summer, filled presumably with all sorts of fancy mathematical sciency stuff

Completely agree with you, Steven!
I'll probably give it a few weeks, if not a month or so before giving it another go.
Oh my summer has been filled with mathematical/sciency stuff, hehe.
Hope you're doing well.
