so my new goal is now 200m slayer in OSRS, this is going to be a long long grind that will probably take years. before this however i will be doing quest cape and task cape. which wont take too long


either way as with most things for this thread ive changed the first post. and the 2nd post

ive completely changed it this time as more of a helpful guide through this thread. as there is now a lot to it.

i now have quest cape!

working on tasks tomorrow. i dont actually have many left, its just bones to peaches, few boss's (gwd, wildy boss's), the only thing that will probably take time is lvl 5 in all ba roles, but ill be leaving that last, and just doing it whenever.

so yeah hopefully by end of tomorrow my slayer grind will actually start, as i will have technically done what would be "completionist" in osrs with quests and tasks etc done.

even though there is a 1% tax ive still been able to flip rather well. the margins have pretty much adjusted so even if you are flipping something that 80m+ youll have like a 1m margin on it giving you 200k profit, and before 80m item 200k profit is nice so yeah. its all good.

^^ indeed peaches took about 4 hours to do, its done now!!

i also finished most of the diaries, i am on 486/492 the last 6 being, 3x BA, chewed bones, cox kill, KQ head.

kq head ill do during slayer

chewed bones also get through slayer, ill turn on mith drag tasks for this.

cox, ill go eventually but im no rush for it

BA i will do off and on, the first 2 will be done pretty quickly. its just the level 5 in all rolls will take the longest, but i dont really want to go with randoms

but yes so now im technically done with Diaries, and Quest cape obtained. the slayer grind does start now.

starting slayer xp today 16m xp.
i will only be doing strength xp with rapier, till im 200m strength xp, then ill move onto attack. i know most switch between the 2 stats, but i prefer to do one and keep at that.


there are a few upgrades i need / want while on this grind;

Melee

Torva Platebody 489m
Torva platelegs 490m
inferno max cape.

Ranged

Armadyl Chestplate 38m
Armadyl Chainskirt 36m
Pegasian boots 40.5m

Magic

Ancestral Robe Top 70m
Ancestral Robe Bottom 68m
Arcane Spirit shield 181m

Melee i melee most tasks, so having BIS DPS on melee would be great, its just right now its super expensive as its new. so bandos is fine for now, inferno will be a long process to learn, and i dont think ill go for it for a while, id rather learn it with OP gear than mediocre gear, it will just lesson my time in inferno doing it this way, and its not overly important to have this cape.
rapier bandos primordials what im using currently

Magic very important for better DPS, but mostly only from the DMG% increase, accuracy isnt needed on most mage tasks, so using prayer armour is better overall. arcane would be one of the last upgrades i buy as again overall it is better, but not overly important to have for barraging tasks.
kodai, ahrim / prayer armour

Range isnt important as i will only range jad tasks, apart from that i will never range a task only from cannon is where i get range xp. thats why im happy with karils and blessed boots for it for now.

with all of this on mind, its hard to figure out how to go ahead in buying these upgrades. torva id say is most important for me personally as i do melee everything if possible, but is the most expensive. either way i have plenty of time to figure it out before i get to a position of buying it.

this is mainly for me, but hopefully you enjoyed reading if you did

so i just got incredibly unlucky for KQ head that is a 1:128 drop. i needed one for diary and 1 for slayer helm.

so in osrs if you do twice the drop rate for head you get a tattered kq head at 256 kc, that can only be used for the diary task as a mount in poh. i had to use that one for the task

and i then got an actual head drop at 282kc, so yes it is over now i had diary done and the helm upgrade, but went very dry on the head drop.

i do also want kbd heads and abyssal demon head for slayer helms,

currently 10.3k kc on abyssal demons (head is 1:5k) so again double dr...
and im 65 kc on kbd, head is 1:128 so not at rate yet.


i did get 2 dark claws at skotizo, so i could get the purple helm, but i will rarely wear it so for now im saving my points

an update from a week ago, im now 19m slayer xp.

this week i was in isolation due to having covid with mild symptoms, so what else could i do but slay??? so another 3m slayer xp week i doubt will happen for a while hahah

but either way almost 10% done

tasks completed 809

tasks i just need to do 1 run of cox, and all roles lvl 5 in ba.

i got kq head x2 (1 for diary other for slayer helm)
and kbd head also for slayer helm
