Dark screen on android

Since the last 2 updates my android screen is very dark in most areas, some to the point of total black out.
Unistalled and reinstalled the client on phone to no avail.

Is this an issue across android?

Also since mond(25th oct) update, i have to put in auth code everytime i log on despite ticking the trust for 30 days box. I know what I want to do, but can rarely achieve it
