Hey I am curious about how to access the beta or how to associate my member account with my google account for the beta. I emailed the mobile helpdesk and they said I would only be able to access this section of the forum if I'd already been approved for the beta, is this the case?

Okay SO.....few things to address here......

1) The RS3 Android Mobile app is still in closed beta. Only people who already have it downloaded can access it right now. Fear not though! It's moving into an open beta which allows infinite downloads from the Play Store. Info on that is coming soon(tm).

2) You do not need to associate your RS account with google. You do not need to do anything on your account to make it mobile-ready, except for have RS membership.

3) You said you emailed the "mobile helpdesk?" Are you referring to Google's Helpdesk, or something to do with RS/Jagex? Because if it's Google's Helpdesk....they're not involved in its development and their support employees would basically have no clue what's up.

4) This forum section is open to the public - you don't even need to be logged into the forums to view it.

5) I'm getting the impression you may not understand how the beta works. It's not a case of "being accepted into it" - people who have access to RS Mobile right now, have access because they downloaded it from the Play Store when Jagex released limited numbers of downloads (two batches of 25,000 downloads). There's no way to sign up, be invited, or get accepted to it - you just download the app when Jagex announces more spaces. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Hmm I didn't know how this beta works, normally you gain access through invites. Most betas work that way. Also I contacted rs mobile support on account of not being ********. Heeey google your runescape app isn't working! XDDD

Anyway I will just have to wait for the open beta then, thanks for the info.
