the vac-o-matic has always had a 50% chance of destroying the thingies.
Since the archaeology divy relic came out that created a BUG that bypassed that mechanic.
So this was not a NERF it was actually a BUGFIX just worded badly by jagex.
Also explains why it was in the archaeology section which initially confused me.
It is now at the bottom of the post with a much better description.
I went back to re read as I discovered no difference in performance upon using it but then not only do I not have the relic but also have not used vac-o-matic since archaeology came out. Was only doing today as yesterday realised my charge pack was down to 25k/500k and I too cheap to buy them.
so where the hell has it been "clarified" at? obviously not here ON THE PATCH NOTES AS IT SHOULD BE....probably on reddit/twitter...where they like to put most of their information than on their official forums :\
so based on this "clarification" it has always been working as intended for anyone that DOESNT have the divine conversion relic active right?

No they didn't change the post in this forum but they did change the patch notes post on the main page of the website.
If you compare the two you can see what was originally posted here under archaeology updates and on the main page see the updated version posted under other updates.
I expect they did put it on reddit too but I refuse to use that.
