The increased smelting speed for the event seems to be about what it should be. Keep it! Going back to the normal way will be even more torturous than it was before.

I am guessing it will be exactly the same with the pottery ovens. It's too slow and apparently you know that!

Maybe add increased speed as we level up? Not only is that logical, but it would fit the lore. (obviously I don't read the lore so stop using it as an excuse)
