I've been back on runescape for 3 days and I have had my account emptied I don't know how they can access it when I log in with a tap of a button on my tablet. I haven't entered my password since I changed it on Thursday I was skulled and at castle wars when I logged in a few hours prior I was in level 50 wildt at the rogues doing slayer. I'm asking for a real mod to respond I need to be emailed the ips of my log ins since the 6/1/21. I think this may potentially be a bug or something weird going on I've played since the original runescape 1 and have over 100 plus days play time on my original account megamike777 so I know how to keep secure I'm seriously confused and would of preferred to email jagex directly but seem to be unable to. I don't understand how I can be hacked through the mobile app without physically entering my password for the last 3 days I have a virus scanner and protection on my device on my device it has picked up nothing is there serious security issues with playing on rs mobile or something as it can't be right I'm so annoyed because everything I've worked hard for is gone from pretty much no fault of my own so I say again can I have a email from jagex with my log in from the period of the 6TH-10TH. I know jagex can't give items back but could atheist compensate a long time player in some shape or form as I don't want to be forced into a permanent retirement as I do very much still enjoy this game.

I think the osrs mobile is unsecure on jagexs part they got into my account and brought 3000 rune bars from the ge I've lost about 100mill due to this I think a compensation of about 20-25 bonds should cover it there's absolutely no way they could of phised me I've only had this issue after playing on my tablet for 2 days which has kaspersky protection on it so no malware etc I've seen alot of players having the same issue clearly some sort of security flaw on jagexs part. There's no way they could of got my email to fish me via email I haven't clicked on any malicious links and I have malware protection on my device

Apologies but you won't get a JMod reply in here. We are all players in the forums.

While you enter your account with a single tap, your account can still be logged into if someone knows the login and password.

Is your account password still the same or has it been changed?
If it has been changed it means your hijacker has access to your email and you should change the pw to your email and work to secure it.
If your password is still the same it means you have been phished or tricked somehow and given away your account access. You may have been tricked through social media if you have been viewing player uploads of RS content on Twitch, Youtube or Facebook.

Jagex won't email you a list of the login information. I mean what would you do with it?
If you want some action taken, report the incident by email to: [email protected]
Jagex will receive the information and investigate your account activity to try to track the hijacker (if possible) and the trades of your items.
Don't expect them to report back to you about this investigation - there are several reasons why they can't report back.

Hi thanks for the reply malua but do you have a email where I could get a reply from jagex.
My email wasn't compromised and I haven't clicked any suspicious links I have only been playing my account on rs mobile for 2 days I have payed for protection on my tablet so it was malware/virus free. That's what makes me think the data breach may be on jagexs end I've seen many other similar issues like this on the forums and reddit.

What you have seen is many allegations about data breaches.
These are just accusations, not true facts.

Jagex recommend a three layer approach to account security:
1. email protected with 2-step verification
2. Runescape account protected with Authenticator security code at login
3. Items/gp inside your account protected with a Bank PIN
If you can honestly say Yes, Yes, Yes to all three of these then you can start pointing the finger of blame (though not at a rogue JMod).
JMods have the ability to create and add any amount of wealth or special item to their accounts. They can even create stuff that doesn't exist e.g. change their head look. They aren't after your items or gp.

Please read the articles I linked above and pay some attention to your account security so there are no more hijacks.

No, not on this issue.
If you email the tipoff email they will investigate but they will not report back to you.
Instead, Jagex has 26 articles in the Support Centre on the topic of Security and Player Safety.

Thanks for the reply it is absolutely shocking that you can't simply have 2 way communication with jagex on the matter. Ofcourse a jmod haven't hacked me I haven't said that I know what they can do they work for jagex so why would they hack. I've played rs in some form since pretty much the very beginning and this is the worse the customer service has ever been. They continue to take money for memberships but you can't even email them for a reply unless its about membership. I love this game but seriously considering a permanent retirement this time around. SHAME ON YOU JAGEX
