I'd definitely think the Mobile client will see updates similar to the Steam client updates which brings qualities that's seen in third party clients. I do not have any source to any future updates regarding the client however, but I'd look around Mobile streams and discussions to see if Jagex has commented on any of this!
The most notable advantage that Mobile gamers has is the ability to play from anywhere, which I think quite a few of us PC gamers envy - but I do see the interest in an ehhanced client!
