Today I logged into my account with my iPad (usually play on PC), I had been training agility in al kharid and logged out in al kharid, but something strange happened when I logged back on. I was standing at castle wars on top of the castle wall ( the one beside the castle wars bank). This isn't somewhere that I usually log out in, but I did it once, maybe a month or two ago? I found it really odd that I was in that position when I logged back on, then I decided to look at my bank and all my coins were gone, even the place holder for it (i usually keep my coins in the first bank slot but it was not there anymore) and there was no reason for me to remove that place holder.

Everything else seemed okay, my stats were the same, the rest of my items in the bank were there as far as I can tell. I don't know how I could replicate this bug.

My membership did renew itself automatically today and I did update my OSRS app today, before playing, I don't know if this might have caused this bug to happen, but I thought I should post it. I don't know if anyone else had this similar issue happen to them.

Just to clarify

I'm playing OSRS
I have a bank pin
I have an authenticator

If it was a hacker, i don't think they would have simply taken the 100k or less I had, I had treasure trail items worth more then that. Just my coins were missing nothing else.

It looks as though it was a rollback log in, I got spawned in a place I only every logged out into once.

Maybe a Jmod could look into that.

A rollback login?
Rollbacks are not restricted to single accounts - they affect everybody on the same world.
Everybody else who was logged into your world also would have experienced a rollback if this is what happened.

A rollback login is extremely unlikely, it is more likely your account was accessed by a hijacker.
Have you been viewing any Runescape content on social media (Twitch, Youtube, Facebook)?

I don't believe a hijacker would have stolen less then 100k coins( as well as remove the placeholder) and left my other items worth much more than that . Furthermore I don't believe they would have known to logged me out in a spot ive only logged out once a very long time ago, which is a strange spot to log out into by the way. Rollback might be unlikely but probable, stranger things have happened in this game.

Regardless, I'm just mentioning it, just in case it is something that Jagex can track and fix in the event it happens to me or someone else in the future.

Castle Wars is commonly used by hijackers as a logout point for their stolen accounts.
The minute you said you found yourself at Castle Wars minus your gp, it just sounds like a typical hijack scenario.

As to what damage the hijacker did, there is much variation in a hijackers purpose for a stolen account.
They may return and this is why you need to change your passwords (email, Runescape account).

The other explanation is that you have been deceived on social media into giving a hijacker 'permission' to access the device you play the game from.
This ^ is the only way both Authenticator and the Bank PIN can both be bypassed so easily.

I would appreciate if you stop assuming my I'm reckless my account security. I don't use social media, I do nothing related to runescape outside of playing the game. I have never disclosed any information regarding my account to anyone. I have all my security measure in place, my email address has no been compromised either.

Further more IT IS possible a bug occurred.

It seems you're dead set on believing it was a hijacking, without considering that it could be a bug, I'm here to report a bug that occurred. I was trainning in al kharid and was logged back in, in a very obscured spot that I've only logged into once many moons ago. If no one wants to look into this thats fine, I'm just here to report that.

In that case a Bug needs to be reported from inside the game as Jagex need a template filled out which isn't done here in the forums.

I apologise for not believing you about your Bug theory.
I have been doing assistance in the forums for nine years and, frankly, the chances that this was anything other than a hijack is hard to accept.

There is only one other possibility for the removal of the gp.
If the gp was purchased offsite in a real world trade then transferred into your account, Jagex would just remove it.
I think this scenario is unlikely because the sum of gp is too small for a RWT amount and there would have been no need to move you over to Castle Wars.
You would know whether or not this was RWT gp.

The mobile RS does not automatically have a login email until you set one.

To set a login email to an Android mobile account: Add a login email to Google created accounts

To set a login email to an iOS mobile account: Add a login email to Game Center accounts

If perhaps you have just forgotten how you logged in earlier this year (and you can see it wasn't by email) you need to log into your Google account first, then into Runescape for Android or log into your Game Centre account first, then into Runescape for iOS.
