Right, I came back to osrs sometime in 2018 (can't remember specifics) but it was with the intention of playing on mobile.

Anyway I had an iron man, named Smegged off, which I later renamed to Sirrom ekul. Had made a lot of progress on the account and it's viewable on the hiscores. I died as a hardcore iron man and de ironed. I played briefly on mobile on iPhone and have since gotten rid of iPhone and am now with android.

I went to log into my account using the same email and it's put me back on tutorial Island. What gives? I'm able to view the character on hiscores and can log into the account section of the RuneScape website. Any idea what's happened?

I am not sure if you are a new poster or Sirrom Ekul posting from another account.

When a player logs in from a Android mobile device, they see two login options:
* continue with Google account
* continue with RuneScape account
each of these options will take you to a different OSRS account.

When a player logs in from an iOS mobile device, they see this:
* continue with Game Centre account
* continue with RuneScape account
Each of these options will take the player to a different OSRS account.

If the player logs in from a pc, they can only log in to their RuneScape account UNLESS they have added a login/password to their mobile based Google account or mobile based Game Centre account.

Back ten years ago your login would only get you into a single Runescape account.

Since 2013 you can now log into two accounts with your login.
The OSRS game is the new game, introduced in 2013.

Your very old Runescape game is saved in RS3.

Mobile Runescape is currently only available for the new OSRS game.
A mobile version of the older RS3 game is still in development.

So, the answer to your question is yes that is true.
BUT you can log into OSRS with your account login and create and start training a new character.
The two games are not the same and game progress/characters cannot be transferred across.

@ Lildebo22jr - Please create your own thread to explain your issue. Include details such as if both times, last night and now) were you playing on OS Mobile? Android or iOS?

Every user's situation is somewhat unique, and it can get confusing as to which post is to which user, when more than one player is trying to get help on the same thread. Advice given to the original player may not apply in each case. Also, when tacking your situation on to another player's thread, those helping may recognize the thread as one where the issue had already been solved, and may not notice that a different situation has been added to the thread.
