Can't log in? Wrong password?

I'm getting the same problem. I even have the username and password saved on a locked excel sheet, and it didn't work just in case. I was able to log in using facebook and g-mail, and then request a password change. So I tried putting that same password in, and it told me that's already the password! So I went back and tried again, still same results!!! I freaking knew I wasn't going crazy, this happened to me a few times in the past. Thought I actually forgot my password.

edit: ooook so I forgot to include a space in my name. already changed password, so I can't verify

I tried logging into my account after I left my house (we have secure wifi) and was told invalid username or password. Got my password reset, logged in and it was a brand new lvl 1 character. I wasnt super high lvl or anything, but I had decent gear and about 10mil in my bank. I did have a bank pin so I dont know if the stuff in my bank is safe or what. I just want to be able to log back in. This **** is why i quit playing a long time ago. I had a lvl 83 and got hacked way back when. Please, jagex do something. Even if it is just get people their characters back, gold can be farmed and gear repurchased.

The same exact thing is happening to me! I was playing RS3 on my mac earlier and i logged out and tried to log back in with the same credentials and it kept saying it was wrong. But it let me log in through Facebook to reset it and it said the password I was typing in was the correct one! So wtf?? :@

I also had an OS account i was playing on mobile and the same thing happened. I logged out and went to log back in and it wasn't working. So I signed in through Gmail and it said the password I wanted to change it to was already the password. It wouldn't let me log in on mobile or on the computer.

I just wanna play man. How do I fix this? Very frustrated. This is why I quit playing years ago honestly...

The same thing is happening to me the nxt client loads but it says my password is wrong I changed password to the same one had and it says that's the one you are currently using so you can't change it to that. Changed it to a different password but still says incorrect username or password.

There is a login glitch that has been occurring since yesterday that is affecting a small number of players.
It sounds like you are experiencing this glitch.

Everybody that had this problem yesterday are now operational again.

I don't have a specific 'fix' for you to try and we are waiting to see if we get a JMod comment.
All I can suggest is try again later or maybe wait until tomorrow.
