I want to signal the fact that the deathpile behavior in terms of the order of appearence of the items in the pile differ on mobile from the pc client.
Pc client items appear in the following order from top to bottom:
- 2-3 most valuable (IIRC)
- Items contained in the 28 space inventory, from top to bottom (with cointainers such as seedbox or herbsack appearing on top of the items they contained before the death occured)
- Items that are equipped by the character
- and finally items contained in the looting bag, from top to bottom.
Meanwhile, on mobile items seems to appear sorted only by thier value.
For exemple, trying to pick up a deathpile on mobile leads to the very awkward scenario where you have to pick up your grimy herbs and seeds before being able to pick up the herbsack and the seedbox, resulting in having to re-suicide (two times because you won't fit whole inventory + equipped items + looting bag) to get the other items out of the way, picking every grimy herbs and having to note them at a tool leprechaun, finally pick up the herb sack, unnote every single herb and putting them back in the sack. To add to the pain, locator orb would also appear at the bottom of the pile so you'd have to get another one for each suicide (or do a pile with multiple orbs). Like, it's doable but most people would just logout and wait to be home to pick up the pile.
The issue also makes that a clue scroll would be near the bottom of the pile, making wilderness clue steps require the same kind of juggling to only get the scroll out of the pile to go and do the step.
Given how core of a mechanic deathpiling is to the UIM gameplay, I think it should behave the same as on PC.
I like the direction of where the updates for mobile are going, lots of QOL improvements. And i think it's because of these improvement that i do more complex stuff on mobile and made me discover that inconsistency.
