Trying to log in on mobile, to he greeted with a fast flash of "Connecting to Jagex servers" where it'll take me back to the option screen. Tried the beta and reg versions. Cleared data and cache, uninstalled. Nothing fixes it.

I have the same issue. All since the update. It will work with wifi but the point of mobile is to play on the go. I only play mobile and so this means no RuneScape for me since the update. Burning my membership up here. Days lossed would be nice to have back added to the account.
