I talked to the foreman to let me use the furnace for free and got the achievment diary.

The belt however will not let me put my ore on it and is still charging me. Please fix

This task refers to the entrance fee if you did not have 60 Smithing. You would still need money in the coffer.

I'm having the same issue, but haven't seen anything referring to an entrance fee. As well as the foreman and the wiki sites saying that the furnace is free to use (lv 60 or over). could you or someone explain this better?
