Hi Fox
I understand that you are just trying to help and that's great. but it's best not to post those links here, in case anyone goes there. Pippyspot has given an email you can use to report links, in a post above.

Here's your post without the link:

Saw something on Facebook that popped up in the main ads that show up in the middle of you're feed. This is the link that shows up (link removed)

For all, the best idea is never to log into Runescape site from anywhere but your own bookmark, so if anyone says 'sign up here for x', just go your own bookmark and sign in and then look from there. If you can't find what they are talking about from there, you probably just saved your account.

I got hacked by this phishing website and got 4.5mil gold stolen, expecting reimbursement. From jagex for this fraud very soon

I'm sorry to inform you that JaGex cannot return the items that were lost to you.

If you have secured your account, you should look to rebuild your wealth.

Lol I cant believe I fell for this shit. The link was literally oldschool.runescape.com. I reported it the same day it happened and emailed jagex about the situation. How the fuck are they using a legit URL? And why hasn't anyone from the oldschool team warned their players about this... I have been a consistent player for a while now but i don't think i will be coming back after this. I wish y'all best of luck! If you are still playing after this. And I feel the pain of all those of you who were affected.

Cant believe i just fell for this jagex there are two streams on twitch that are not legitimate they just took the about 1mil that i had in my bank as well as my Guthan's set and my abyssal whip. can we please make sure these are getting taken down i know it is my fault for clicking the link but they are using secure.runescape.com as the follow up link you may want to have your security team look into this.

Closing this, as it isn't really regarding an event being hosted ingame and continues to be used to discuss a phishing scam taking place off-site.

For those who may have fallen victim of this, if you are in need of account security advice, it is highly recommended to review the security info in the Support Centre or ask in the Account Help forum. For information on phishing scams and how to spot and avoid them, check the page on phishing .
