It's October, and so time for our annual Halloween short story competition!

This year, your prize is a real-life Golden Scythe weapon!



This is being made at the moment, so we don't have a real-life pic yet - however rest assured it will look epic!

To get in with your chance to win, all you need to do is write a halloween horror story with a maximum of 200 characters (includes spaces). The spookiest story will win the Golden Scythe; and another story at random will win a RuneScape Bond.

The competition ends on the 1st November, after which we'll choose the two winners. Good luck!

There were 10 limited item Golden Scythes in the chest
The people that got the golden scythes were killed by the other players

As I put her to bed, my daughter cried about a monster in her closet. I promised I would check. Inside the closet I see my daughter crying in the corner. "There's a monster in my bed.", she said. 181m Slayer XP and 37,963 Edimmu slain for my Dungeoneering pet. Slayer is still the worst skill in the game.

Jenny's parents went out for a Halloween dinner, so Jenny decided to invite a few friends over. There was some booze, smokes and some slasher DVDs, and then the spooky highlight.. a Ouija board.

Just gibberish at first and then, to their horror and delight, messages.

Specific messages.

J-E-N-N-Y, the board spelled out.

“Who is this?” said Jenny

JENNY OH JENNY

“Are you alive?”

NO

“How did you die?”

CAR CRASH

“Who are you?”

YOUR MOTHER

Jenny starts to scream, as she hears a car door slam outside. She peeks out the window, to see a lone police officer, walking up to her door with his cap respectfully in one hand.
