And why is that a giant middle finger?

Surely, members of the skillers community know they've chosen to restrict themselves. The event had 4 days where a skill besides combat was available, so that should've given you time to complete the 100% which is required for all the rewards.

Surely almost every skiller is an experienced player that knows faster (or better) methods to gain experience than the event can offer. Because of these reasons the last day of this event won't influence skillers that much.

In the event that someone stored all their tools for the last day, they know this was a risk and sadly enough did not get lucky.

I hoped you've at least enjoyed the other days of the event!

If there was only “one correct way” to play this game, why then would they offer xp blocks, quest reward xp converted to lamps and stat reset options? There would be absolutely no purpose in implementing those things.

Yes, players choose to limit themselves, just like many people do in real life.
That does not at all justify you or anyone to treat them as outcasts or an “inferior” portion of the community. They are they community. They are the player base, just like you.

Yes, only one day was entirely combat skill focused, but it was the last and only real day of importance. You could have had all combat skills from day 1-4 and then had at least 1 skilling skill on day 5 and no one would have been locked out of any rewards.

Your argument that the event could have been completed before “doomsday 5” is only true for those fortunate enough to win gold tools on TH. Some players would not have won them; it’s a matter of chance.

The only day in this entire community event that could have blocked portions of the community was not "community friendly". This resulted in a "check-mate" for skillers and pures, which contrary to popular belief, still make up a large portion of the community.

When Jagex’s ninjas want to create or change content, what questions do they ask? "How difficult would it be to implement and how many people will it help."
The same concept can be applied to the last day of this slime event.

It would have been easy as pie to have a skilling skill on the last day and it would have helped a huge portion of the community. It makes sense to make as many players happy as possible, from a moral and business point of view. More happy players results in more money, right?

The simple decision to choose only combat related skills on the last day has clearly upset, disrupted and divided the community. The existence of these threads that have popped up as a result of how the last day of the event was handled, is absolute proof of this.

If a skilling skill was added as a third option on the last day, would we be having this conversation? Would there have been multiple threads full of frustrated players?

It seems obvious to me which path has the least resistance.
Be like water, my friend.

They don't understand that they are killing the very game they are wanting to play, by forcing restrictions on all players that choose to play this game in an unconventional way.
