(depends on players interested)
Players who are interested in playing more games after they're eliminated, can join a potential losers bracket, to play people that are closer to their skill level!
There may be additional prizes for this, but they won't be as much as the Winners bracket.

Whether you win lose or draw will affect your ranking and make it go up or down.
Rankings might be used for placement in Tournament pairings.
If you do not complete all the games required, your ranking will go down.

If you have already played in a Tournament, go to the third post here to see your Current Ranking .

Loser Bracket Rules:

The winner of the loser's Bracket will then face 4th place of the Semi Finals in a best of 3 match for 2.5m!

More about ratings for those interested:

The one provided by Jagex is not a good indicator of skill because it is linear. In other words, when you beat an opponent half your ranking, you get half the number of ranking points. So essentially, your rating will grow exponentially before you see any difference in the number of rating points you're getting for beating a 1000 player. 5k-10k players know 2k players still have an almost equal chance to beat them!

The one we are using is logarithmic. What this means is that beating an opponent ~200 points below your rating will give half the points (and they lose the same amount as you). ~400 points below gives a fourth of the points. So you can't get a lot of points by beating a lot of noobs!

This also becomes a decent representation of your winning odds. If someone is ~200 points higher than you, statistically, they will beat you 2:1! We use this fact to update ratings after a tournament, not in-between rounds. We calculate the difference between your expected score and your actual score, and update your rating with some math wizardry.

Everyone starts at 1500, because we are defining 1500 as the average tournament player. This won't be very accurate until you've played in a few tournaments and have a good number of games. Until then, we say your rating is provisional.

There are even special titles for players with high enough ranking! There are class F (below 1000) through A (1800-1999) players, and when you reach 2000, you are considered an Expert! Maybe we'll change the names to something like knights and scouts!

If your rating is low, don't be discouraged! That just means you'll gain a lot of rating points when you train up and improve yourself (because your opponents are going to be higher rated than you)! Think of it as a ladder to climb, not a well to fall into. :)

With that in mind, I believe the ratings I have given previously were fluctuating too rapidly, so I'm tweaking the formula a bit to slow that down.
