I had 22-23 videos made around 2006-20010 and so far 14-15 have had issues with copyright music.

I got an E-Mail from YouTube about a video I made in 2009. Had a claim of copyright on the music lol. Took them 11 years to snipe it.

I've stopped making videos now which is a shame as they were good. I did enjoy them so much. The Copyright is such a pain to deal with. :( Comprehensive Account Security

They also said that any views would generate cash clicks for the music owner.

I've never got into any trouble with YouTube or strikes or fines.

YouTube do offer free music anyone can use and some of it is good. They have a huge list. So mught be worth using some of theises to keep your videos safe.

It might help if you give credit to the music owner. I'm not sure how it works now as I've not done any videos in a few years.

It's Rare to see them removed, I'd recommend saying in the video the song is property of (whoever the artist is) and say the video is non profit too.

Will they just mute/delete it or can you get banned from Youtube? Or worse, fined irl? What happened to your 14-15 videos and were you banned for it?

I was wondering if it helps with copyright if you don't make it a full song but use only some part of the song (about 1 minute or so).
