What is the point in cutting the xp for ironmen in half during that time? I don't care about cosmetics, I do the events because I get xp in skills that are tedious to train. It just seems like if you want to cut xp in half for the best part of the event, there is really no use in doing it.

Anyways, just a bit of a rant. I do like the event, but having the xp cut in half just "because" seems a little strange. We still have to do the event alone, we still get slow xp rates during it. There are MUCH faster ways to train most of the skills there. But for ironmen, this event means more because we don't have to spend hours, weeks or months gathering materials for a single skill.

"During a happy hour or heatwave, Ironman players will receive 50% less experience while skilling with a full temperature gauge."

"While eating the ice cream is not required to continue with the activities during the heatwave, it is still possible to eat it at full thermometer. During the heatwave the daily limit for eating ice cream is increased to six."

That's not too bad a deal imo. Yes, they cut the xp with 50% but, that's AFTER you have capped the gauge 6 times each day. Which makes it 24 times if you do it everyday. Plus, you can still continue after the 6 times each day.

Remember, Ironman mode is already "hard" mode, so we shouldn't expect to get too much help.
