"Santa's Missing Hat Event" (Part Two)
Copy of narrative kept for posterity!
"Santa has a brand new hat
instead of Rudolph, he owns a cat!
His helpers now all look like clowns
...the Wise Old Man simply frowns!"

Date: 27th December 7.30pm GMT
Start: World 56
Description: Duel Arena Challenges (any style and no restrictions) and from 8.00 pm onwards we pop into Buthorpe games room to duel Jagex!

Narrative:-

Santa found his hat! And has lost it again………
Santa was passing through Al Kharid when suddenly a “whoosh” of wind knocked his hat off his head. Before he could bend down to reach for his hat, Ali the Camel picked it up and before Santa could say “Ali the Camel”, he had chewed it to pieces….
“….could have done with some hot sauce”, thought Ali.
Santa popped back to the Grand Exchange to buy a quick replacement and fainted with shock when he saw how expensive they had become!
Santa was hoping to go in costume to the Chaos Elemental’s New Year Eve’s Tea Party (which looked fun) and also attend a Very Special Firework Display (see my Wiz in Me's thread 42-43-104-59885053). He has decided to wear something entirely different this time (he would have to sell his entire bank to afford a new Santa Hat).
“Do you have any ideas?”, Santa asked the Wise Old Man
“Shave off your beard and hair you silly fool”, said the Wise Old Man
Hmmm, that was helpful thought Santa, and he asked the same question of Juna in her Tears of Guthix Cave and she said to him,
“Look into the depths, before the first one is the last and backwards forwards roundabout shout and if in doubt, yes”
Hmmm, no wonder she is down in this cave alone thought Santa.
Finally he trudged up to see his old friend Roald in Varrock library….
“I hear those Equinox Event folks are holding a duelling competition over in the Arena, perhaps you can head over there and make enough money to buy at least a temporary replacement hat”
Santa rubbed his ring of duelling....

Oops my literary skills are exhausted atm- I can't think of a poem to respond- but thank you for the bump
I think our little event community thanks everyone so far for their support, and we hope to continue meandering into 2010 with some support (we have been slogging along since Oct 2008 and still seem to carry on ( a Carry On theme event coming along)- such a shame we didn't post on the Events Forums until recently
We should have a dedicated clan recruitment thread I suppose but we have no idea how to begin that
