When a thread is made a Hot Topic (Homepage thing) we sticky it (so it doesn't get moved accidentally) and unsticky any ex-Hot Topics.
I am sure DancingQueen's thread will find it's way back to the Hot Topics feature again soon. ;)

I think her thead should still be stickied though, not necessarily just for hot topic, but because she works hard to update it daily, and it is used by every event project. It is an important part of the forum and should remain stickied for easy access - If it was worthy of a sticky before it should still be.
I know the community will agree with me.

Hi guys,
first off, I'd like to say a big congratulations to Amoraten and Equinox for the sticky which is a fantastic achievement.
Secondly, I'm really sorry to have to post this here, because it kind of deflects the great achievement from my dear friends at Equinox, but I need to add a little comment for Mod Mark, and not sure where to leave it.
My thread has been stickied for a number of months, it was not stickied due to the latest homepage revamp, while I understand your reasons for sticking Equinox thread, which I fully back, as explained above, I don't see how my thread should be affected by it.
I'll leave a message on the Events Community Home thread because I want Equinox to get their deserve moment of fame.
