Otherwise, if you are paying by credit card or debit card, leaving the "remember this card" box unticked is all you need to do to keep the card unlinked.
If you are worried that you might not have left that box unticked, just purchase a new subscription and make sure you untick.

Leaving the box unticked won't affect the payments for a recurring subscription but it will affect any other purchases you do, meaning you would have to enter the card information in full each time you purchased.

If a hijacker gets into your account, they cannot see your payment information or card number.
If you have "remember this card" active, a hijacker could make purchases on your account using your card. They could not make purchases for another RS account.
