I had a recurring membership on a debit card that I cancelled, so when the membership ran out obviously I was not rebilled but whenever I go to try to change the payment it says I’m ineligible for any products. Payment center says I have an active recurring membership but when I click details it says no active membership and the circle continues. This has happened before and here we are again I’m standing in members only and not able to buy more members so I’m effectively perma banned until this gets straightened out. Good ole Jagex doesn’t care enough to have an actual tech support staff so I’m basically just venting to you all.

Any ideas?

How long is it since your membership expired?
Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for the account status to fully update when moving from member to F2p or vice versa.

Also, if you are moving from the mobile app payment system to the pc/website payment system, you have to wait for this full status update to happen.

The issue you are experiencing is not within the ambit of the tech support staff.
It is a billing support issue.

Literal exact same situation for me. I canceled recurring payments a long time ago. I want to get back and renew membership, but can't do it in any way whatsoever because i'm standing on members only area. What do we do???? none of these posts are helping at all with our situation. This is the only place i can input some sort of feedback.

You may have cancelled your recurring payment a long time ago but the membership appears to be still active.

When you see the error message "you are standing in a members only area" it means you have logged into a F2p world.
You need to log into a members world to move your character out of the area into a F2p area.
If your account is F2p this move would be done automatically for you.

Try logging in to a members world.
