Let's hypothetically assume I got Premier Gold in 2020-01. I'd essentially have membership until 2021-01.

If I buy Premier Gold again now, does it:
1. add +12 months of membership by concatenating it to the current Premier Gold subscription, so it runs out in 2022-01?
2. apply 12 months from date of purchase, effectively cancelling the last Premier Gold subscription, so it runs out in 2021-11?

I.e. should one wait till their current package expires before getting the next one?

I'd like to know if I should wait too. My current premier club expires Jan-21. If I buy premier again today, does it expire in Nov-21 or does it count the 2 months I still have of Premier so expiry would be Jan-22?
I tried reading through the FAQ but the answer wasn't clear and didn't distinguish between if you are a current member or premier purchaser.

No days are lost - membership stacks.

Buying a new Gold Premier while the previous years Gold Premier is still active extends your membership another twelve months.

But what happens with the extras?
You should immediately receive the Gold Premier 2021 new items e.g. new outfit, new pet etc.
The other perks like the extra daily key , VIP world access, Premier Vault access etc. will just extend further into the future. Meaning your remaining days of Gold Premier 2020 will be added to the twelve months of Gold Premier 2021. You won't lose days of Gold Premier.

Ok so say I bought my Gold Premier on Nov 25 last year (I did not. I don't know when I bought it only that it hasn't run out yet, but for the sake of argument, I'm saying Nov 25.) If I buy Gold Premier today, it won't run out until Nov 25 next year? Or will it run out exactly one year from today?

Using November 25th as an example date and assuming you bought today (18th Nov) it means you are buying Gold Premier one week before the 2020 Gold Premier expires. I expect that would add one week on to the year purchased today, meaning your Gold Premier would run out November 25th 2021.

I also need to correct something I said earlier.
I have found out that the daily keys are treated differently to how I explained above.
Using the above example of dates, you would currently be receiving 3 daily keys with 2020 Gold Premier. If you buy 2021 Gold Premier one week before 2020 GP finishes, you will receive 4 daily keys for the week then, on Nov 25th, you would go back to 3 daily keys. This means you would stop receiving the extra daily key on Nov 18th 2021.
