Hi
I need to update my bank card details, but despite 15 minutes clicking around within my account I have no idea how I can do that.
The only link I can find to access and update the card details is when I attempt to purchase something?
Surely this cannot be the only way?
I basically need to delete old cards and leave just the current correct card details.
Can someone please provide a detailed route to get to do this?

Jagex used to allow players just to update the expiry date for a newly issued card but, not anymore.

Now you do have to sign up for a new subscription to update your card.
* the new subscription will auto cancel the previous subscription
* it won't change the grandfathered price you get
* and you won't lose any days you have already paid for. :)

i'm updating my credit card expiry as well. it looks as though it wants to charge you a new (expensive rate) and create a new account instead of just updating the expiry date on the current card.

excuse me, but that seems really, really dumb.

wtf is wrong with Jagex that you can't just "update expiry date" and then everything carries on as it was? or at least make it more obvious that the old monthly subscription stays the same.

I guess that would be too simple.

Check that you have logged in to the correct account.

If you have a grandfathered subscription rate it will show on the payment page.
It shows your price next to the regular price struck out e.g. AUD 8.20 AUD 13.49

It should not be asking you to create a new account <- this is why I think you didn't use the correct login.
