I've recently purchased membership on Google play and had to update the payment method which I did. Google play said the membership subscription was updated and was already paid for but my account still does not have membership on it since the payment was taken out. Please help! I've tried to contact jagex every other way.
At the bottom of the article it says if you didn't receive your stipulated purchase within 72 hours they'll refund your purchase. With links of how to get in touch with google play.
So the disconnect is between google play and Jagex. So if it's been less than 3 days please be patient. I know it's not what you want to hear. I hate it when I pay for anything digital and I don't have the items immediately

Have you "picked up" your purchase from the in-game store?

support article mentions picking up the purchase though it also says that the money will be refunded if the purchase is undelivered after 3 days.
Check your bank account to see if the money has been returned.
If the money has been returned, try again.
If the money has not been refunded, contact Google to see what is happening.

Jagex told me to ask googleplay for a refund so I did never got my money back as googleplay said it was not refundable and I sent this information to jagex thru email with no response back yet and it's been about 4 days. I guess it's safe to say I lost my money on that one 🤷.
Do you own any other RuneScape accounts?
Is it possible the purchase went to a different account?
Did you check to see which RuneScape account is linked to your Google Play account?
Normally these types of purchases are quite straightforward. Google Play are a major company and they aren't scammers. They wouldn't just take your money and not supply what you bought.
My guess is that there is something quite simple that went wrong and the first thing I would suspect is that the purchase went to a different RS account.
